hm... i think Missy Higgins has that title now after her remarkable ARIA success xD
Delta is right now busily making her US debut!! She will release an album which consists of the better tracks of her two Australian albums mixed into one! The album will be out in the states either at the end of the year or early next year.
Her first US single will be 'Lost Without You'. |

She was diagnosed with Hodgkin's disease, but everything is OK now. She is done with chemotherapy and such treatment. She even has her long hair back now.
Her Visualize Tour DVD is out!!!! It's only $25AUD which is approximately $18USD!!!
Quite the bargain, might I say.
I'm getting my copy after exams tomorrow. |

i just finished watching Delta Goodrem's Visualize Tour 2005 DVD.
Her live singing is great!!! Her falsetto-esque vibrato is just AWESOME.
The concert rundown was also good, every song you'd expect her to perform, she does. I didn't like the wardrobe that much.... but it wasn't too bad...
She is best when she is soloing on the piano... She can really work it!
And Missy Higgin's accent is 'too' Australian... almost sounds bogan-ish. |

| Yeah Delta's voice is so.. wow. Unique and full of energy. I doubt many people have this kind of voice. I can only compare her voice to Celine Dion ( who in my opinion has one of the best voices in history ). I do hope Delta reaches the popularity Celine did. |

Yes she is. I do hope she'll be successful in the US as much as she is in Australia |

I heard she is remixing all her songs and then releasing them in America.... I'm not too happy with this because revised editions are usually not as good as the original... And the original songs were stunning in their own right anyway. |

I agree with you. Hope we don't hear Americanized songs. |

I love her, and any of her items warrants a purchase by me. Her B-Sides are priceless, I got the Mistaken Identity single recently and it was worth every cent. Both B-Sides were perfect, I never heard anything like it. Plus the video was stunning.
Not a fan of the first album though.. I prefer the second one more. Or maybe the third one if it ever gets released.
Lost Without You reached #45 in the Adult Airplay charts.
Born To Try which should never have been a US single flopped, only reaching #196.
And these are only airplay charts, not yet the Hot 100.
I blame the single choices... She should have started off the set with something like Innocent Eyes instead. |
