| Nami is rather talented. She's has a clear voice and can dance really well. But I have to agree that Get Wild sounded kind of tame compared to her faster tracks. |

Nami Tamaki is talented, and young too. I believe she gets over-shadowed alot by other jpop artist. She's my favorite. My favorite songs would have to be Believe and Reason. XD I miss small nami chan, now she looks so much older.
Here is a picture, taken from a magazine scan:
It is her dress for the cover of her Fortune [Single]. Very nice dress.
The thing I really like about Nami, is that she doesn't lipsync much (or never does). I just have one that she has, and the rest are real. It is dissapointing to see artist that are really famous, when they lipsync and get plastic surgery. Nami is all real. =p |

thanks rokit. nami tamaki is extremely talented.
Full Biography:
Dreaming of becoming a singer from an early age, she enrolled in a dance school. Showcasing her talents in singing and dancing along with her looks at auditions has gained her the attention from numerous people in the industry. She auditioned for sony music at about the age of 12 (corrrect me if i'm wrong) and blew them away with a rendition of 'Survivor' by Destiny's Child.
October of 2002 marked the start of a new anime program, “Gundam Seed.” It was a big hit, not only in terms of TV ratings, but the opening themes, first sung by T.M.Revolution, then followed by Vivian or Kazuma, were two consecutive hits as well. An emerging singer, Nami Tamaki, was selected as the third artist to sing the anime’s opening theme. When she was just 14, her hit singles Believe and Realize, both of which were featured in Gundam SEED, hit Japan.
There is a reason that this emerging 15-year-old ninth grader was selected for this sure success opening theme. As a child, she had always dreamed of becoming a singer, and never failed to grasp the attention of the people in the Kansai area with her extraordinary singing power, sense of rhythm, and looks. Her demo tape was chosen out of 5000, for the staff of the anime program found her to be the perfect match to what they were looking for – thrill, speed, and excitement.
With her mature demeanor, it is hard to believe that she was only 14. As several inquiries have been made by the TV commercial industry, we can expect this young female artist to be successful in multiple areas, not only in singing.
Nami Tamaki is currently 17 years old.

Nami Tamaki will have her own role in the upcoming japanese movie "Love Complex" which will release in summer of 2006
This movie is based off a popular girls anime. i'm not sure the story behind it but Nami will have a part as Nobuko. Not sure about that character either. Hopefully Nami does good. |
