Google Analytics

You just need to register to use it. Most of the us cant track our site visitor due to the free hosting limitation. So here is the alternative. Enjoy.

Thanks for the heads up, townbaby, that's a fairly quick news. I registered an account and inserted the code to Channel-Ai forum and blog, hopefully Google Analytics can give me some insight about how to improve this site! Nod

All of the webmaster out there, do give this a try, from the control panel I can see that they provides you a lot of information about how popular your site is and what your visitors are mainly interested in. fyi, this type of service (provided by Urchin, a web company) used to cost over $199/month, but Google bought over Urchin Web Analytics company in March this year and now it's giving away the service for free. Boogie Similar to Google Earth, which Google bought Keyhole software company and later release it as free software under the name, Google Earth.

Isn't it time Microsoft catch up with Google by buying over companies that provides awesome service and make them available to public for free? Tongue

As I have stated before, Google is taking over the world. Literally. Really, every second something new astonishing thing comes out. They're unstoppable.

Anyways, this doesn't work with Freewebs accounts, does it? Sad I tried to but I guess the URL has to be http://www.something.bla versus http://www.something.bla/evilchimpmunks. T_T I even then tried (for example) http://www.something.bla/evilchimpmunks/index.htm but it didn't like that either. Any suggestions? (btw don't click those links. I'm pretty sure they don't go anywhere but just in case...XD)

It should work with Freewebs, I believe. Google didn't mention that you have to own a domain in order to use the service. While configuring your account, make sure that you follow their example when inserting URL. You don't need to insert "http://", just start from www onwards, e.g." www.freewebs.com/lainay".

Here's a quote from the official form to add a new domain:

Quote:
Please provide the URL of the site you would like to track. You may enter subdomains or domain paths if desired.
