So your parents are from Portugal but you live in Germany? Very cool. Have you ever lived in Portugal? Me, I'm an American mutt (Way back when my ancestors came from Germany and Ireland.) who's been stuck in the states her entire life. I'm always fascinated to meet new people in other countries. Smile

Welcome! I hope you have a great time here! And like spirus said, particpation makes the world go 'round. (Or at least the forum.) Nod

I had to chose either german or french, in school, now where I think back ... "why did I chose german?!" your grammer is soo hard Confused I mean I've heard that danish grammer is hard beacuse of our way to bend words, which changes without reason. But your, die der and das, and I never know if it's, Sein, seinen, or seinem and other words like that Tongue

I've been in Germany too, just can't remember when... hmm, 3 years ago i think. but it was only a couple of days.. hehe, I've been in sweden, more often though, since a lot of my family lives there, but it's the same with swedish as with german, I understand most of it, but can't talk it. The only full sentence I'm able to say in swedish is "you should sleep now" Wink

i think the french grammar is as hard as the german grammar..i learn Latin at school and this is really hard .. i could choose if i learn english then french or latin OR latin, english and then french .... Smile i chose the second way because im bad in maths and maths is easier on this way^^diese diser dieses is like hic heac hoc in latin..almost the same ^^ if u learn latin its quiete easier to learn other languages like german ^^
i heard german should be one of the hardest languages in europe...and french too Wink
i really enjoyed holiday in sweden and danmark..i especially love the french fries in danmark...they are great Laughing
but i only know on word in swedish..its like mükke or something like this ^^i think it means thank u or please^^

hehe, you mean "takk sä mücket" right ? Tongue mücket means, much, it's "takk" that means thank you, (I only know that, because thank you in danish is tak, so almost the same thing)
Yeah, german grammer is one of the hardest, but atleast you can put a lot in categories (it's just me who are too stupid to get those Confused ) the danish grammer have no categories or that sort of thing, that what makes it hard, because you have to guess how to bend the word. into tenses Tongue
I don't know any latin, but I'm learning spanish in school at the moment. (4 languages on a week, Blank stare )
hehe, we have to same problem then, I hate math too!!! my grade in math is the lowest grade on my report card, I prefer languages.
Oh, and I love frence fries Giggle haha Laughing

I've never been out of my country sadly. Crying One day I would like to travel the world, though.

Latin and English are very similar as a lot of English words come from Latin roots. So I would think that taking Latin first would help with English. I know how you feel about French. I took three years of it in High School, and I've forgotten most of it. I can speak/understand it a bit, but if you were to make me sit down and try to construct a meaningful sentance, well, Je ne comprend pas! Tongue

EDIT: And don't feel bad guys, I'm probably worse at math than both of you combined.
2 + 2 = 7, right? Wink

comment by eyn: Please try not to double post, let alone triple post like you did here. You can include all your reply into a single comment, don't separate them into 3 different comment.

Also, try to quote "only" the sentence you're going to respond to whenever possible. It's one of the rules here at Channel-Ai. And a suggestion here is to seperate your comment into nice paragraph instead of squeezing them together. Thanks!
Smile

Well If you're a native speaking dane, then it comes naturally, how to bend the word, but others who are learning it, tries to follow a certain way of beding, which often fails, and sounds totally wrong. the grammer is also hard because we have like 4 different words for "on" (like in , to stand on) and it's importen to use the right one Tongue, I guess that's why danish isn't a international language, but then again, German, shouldn't be either, your grammer is too difficult Laughing I understand why, spanish and english are international languages, they're much easier to learn... Wink

hmm, I hate it, when teachers have someone they like, and someone they don't like, I've had the same problem with a lot of teachers. One of them always made me clean the classroom, after the others had left, without no reason Shifty
Maybe I should send some fries to you, but then don't get angry if they're cold when they reach you Wink Tongue
