 Introduction
hide (pronounced hee-day) was one of Japans most influential musicians. He was in one of the most well known Japanese rock bands and he had various Solo careers. I will try to provide as much information as I can.
Biography
hide was born December 13th, 1964 in Yokosuka, Japan. He was in X-Japan, hide with Spread Beaver, Zilch, and also Saber Tiger. He died May 2nd, 1998. hide had a museum dedicated to him. Sadly, it was closed September 25th, 2005.
At the age of 15, hide was introduced to American rock, specificaly KISS. He loved the music so much that he eventualy bought himself a Gibson Les Paul Deluxe guitar. hide carried the guitar around with him where ever he went, taught himself how to play, and eventualy he aquierd the nickname of "Gibson."
By 1982, hide and his freind formed a band known as Saver Tiger. The band's main influence was of course KISS. hide was the leader and wrote all the songs. He was the lead guitarist, not the vocalist. The band was banned from playing at the school they attended so hide seeked out gigs at bars and live houses. They eventualy bacame really popular in Yokosuka. Unfortunatly the band was always facing the chances of breaking up due to continuous member changes. In the end, hide gave up trying to make things work. In 1987 Saver Tiger disbanned.
After Saver Tiger disbaned, but not long after, hide got a call from Yoshiki. Yoshiki was the leader of the band X, and X had no guitarist at the time. After learning of Saver Tigers popularity, Yoshiki decided to contact hide. He asked him to join, and hide accepted not expecting the affect it would have on his life. hide became an official member of X-Japan in January 1987.
In 1993 hide and the other members of X-japan started to focus on solo careers. hide debuted his solo career with two singles, "50% & 50%" and "EYES LOVE YOU." Both these songs carry two compleately different styles. You would think hide, being a the lead guitarist of X, that his riffs would sound some what similar to those in many X songs. These two songs alone proved that theory wrong. One song is a kind of a speed rock while the others sounds like an emotional, slow, glam rock song. hide was hide, not "hide of X-Japan," and he was making sure to state the difference in his songs. hide was his own and you were going to realize this yourself. hide was not limited to a single style or genre, he has songs that range from Ska to Industrial Metal, even Punk and old-fasioned Rock. hide was hide, no one could compare.

Spread Beaver
Spread Beaver was formed by hide. He like to play guitar along with vocals during tours. You can see him doing this in lives.
Kiyoshi was in a band called Media-Youth. Around 1996 he formed a band called Machine with Hakiei, Pennicillin.
Was in a band called Hiroshi. He has his own solo band, Chirolyn & The Angels, which is under hides LEMONed lable.
Started out as a guest artist working with bands such as Glay, X-Japan, Zi:Kill. He was in a band called Centaur befor he was in Spread Beaver.
Also in hides other band zilch. He helped release Ja, Zoo after hides death.
Kaz was originaly in Oblivion Dust befor he came to Spread Beaver
Was in a band called Ziggy.
Was a guitarest with hide in X-Japan. He was never made a official member of Spread Beaver, but he played with them often.

Lainay's right, you've spelt his name wrong. It's not "Hyde" like the hyde of Laruku, but "hide" all lower-case and pronounced "hee-day". You should fix your post and thread name so people won't get confused.  |

It's Jason's fault I believe.  I read this thread before and I'm quite sure she used hide, not hyde. Jason, what are you doing! Blame Jason, I believe kaorumorite know enough about J-Rock to not make such a mistake.

Wah!!! Yes yes! I could never do that to hide! he is my idol!! I DONT EVEN DARE CAPITALIZE HIS NAME!
It will take me a while to right a decent bio..
And I will work on CD images.
I am going to make little cards for the spread beaver members, like little ID's! I hope they turn out cute^_^
Already mentioned MU. I may even upload the whole alubums.. or just my favorite... hmm..
I wish hide had a bigger discography...*wants to cry*

| hide is awesome! He has been and always will be one of my all time favorite musicans. Too bad he had to die so young. I bet he would still be making great music... and there might have even been a X Japan reunion. |

haha i've never heard a hide song. Or a Hyde song. But i did see a video clip of hide on Utaban show and he was meeting his future wife for the first time. It was funny.  |

I like solo Hyde better. Roentgen is very.. peacful.. While ^^^ is very hard rock.. like american rock. His new single*which i cant turn off* is omg so good too<3 |
