HilaryDuffFanboy wrote: Also, after charting in the Oricon Weekly Top 30 for TWENTY consecutive weeks, PLANETARIUM has finally been booted off the Top 30 this week, with sales exceeding 300k! Exact sales figure is unknown to me, but it just passed the 300k mark.
Congradulations to Otsuka Ai for a wonderful follow-up performance on the charts after SMILY.
I'd been following the Planetarium sales, too. Not sure of the total sales either. I was sad to see it go, but with it being near the bottom (Wasn't it like 29, last week?) and with about five new singles to hit the charts this week, it was kind of inevitible that it'd be bumped off.
She did wonderful with this past single, though. I think a lot of the reason it stayed on the charts so long had a bit to do with Hana Yori Dango, though. But it's had an amazing run, and I've seen a lot of people who have been turned on to her music by this.
I think looking at the LOVE COOK charts, it's almost a given that she can make it to 800k. Especially once the tour starts in April. |

Yes! from what the chart is showing, i do have confident that LOVE COOK will be able to break through 800k in the future! especially with the tours, it is definitely a good promotion! |

I have been noticing alot of Ai fans at school, with Ai shirts, glad that her music is enjoyed by everyone who comes across her album. Fans first introduce to her latest album go as far as to do research on her earliar releases.

8th week sales are in for LOVE COOK!
1st week sales: 334,812
2nd week sales: 167,321
3rd week sales: 167,318
4th week sales: 39,821
5th week sales: 22.904
6th week sales: 15,870
7th week sales: 10,689
8th week sales: 7,093
LOVE COOK total sales so far: 765,828
34,172 more away from 800k mark.
It's only ranked #20! It's going to be bumped off very soon... That 800k mark seems to wriggle free from her grasp with each passing week. >_<
Hurry and get the tour started!
On a happier note, it is official that PLANETARIUM has broken the 300k mark!!! Last week I said I was pretty sure, but now, I am sure that PLANETARIUM has so far sold 306k copies. |

I haven't bought the album yet.
Looking forward to it though. Haven't been going out much.
Very happy for her. She's like my favorite female artiste now. |

9th week sales are in. LOVE COOK is bumped off top 30. Exact/approximate sales figures and weekly ranking are unknown.
The only thin I can deduce is that it sold less than 6.7k copies, which is how much album #30 sold.
The Oricon website says to go here for albums ranked below #30. But it seems you either need to sign up, or sign up and pay.
And to think the tour is 5 weeks away!! =.= |
