Aprilis. wrote: the little hearts really match into the whole theme. but i wonder,.. should we use something that's cook related instead of the hearts? cause since ai's name is "love", we can use the heart and other heart themes for other layouts. but since this is "cook", i think it'll be nicer if we have something that's more cook related, like shap of a frying pan.
Thanks for the suggestion, Aprilis, that's actually what I'm thinking when I'm making the style. I always have problem finding new post icons for a new style, anyway instead of using frying pan, I picked the fried tamago I rip from the official site. Looks good to you?
Glad everyone's enjoying the theme so far, so most of you think we should have more style eh? lol, no worries, I enjoy making them so there should be more coming in the future, unless I really run out of idea how to update the style.
I added a new snowing script for this forum style, seeing Christmas is coming within 10 days! I also added the same script to the blog and gallery too, check them out if you wish. Do notice that the snow will pile up at the bottom of the screen if you wait for maybe a minute, which is quite fun I guess? The wind direction also changes randomly each time you visit a new page, so have fun with that too!
Two new changes I added to the style but forgot to mention in my first post: Rules link next to FAQ and Search link under the top banner; now clicking the emoticon will not add spaces before and after the emoticon key, thus make sure you press space before inserting a new emoticon. Hopefully more people will read the rules now and stop breaking rules here. I hate warning them and they hate to be warned, so why bother? Let's be happy and make this forum a better place! |

Haha, you know what's funny? I was just sleeping and I dreamed that there was a new forum style, and I wake up and here it is. In my dream, it didn't look anything like this though, haha.
Anyway, I'm really fond of this layout, probably more than the other ones so far. Maybe it's because the colors go really well together, and the little icons are so cute. Or, it could be the "LOVE COOK" fever I have right now, haha.
When I clicked to the first page and saw the snow, I thought that was really cute, and I think it's even cuter that it piles up on the bottom, but when I'm scrolling through a long page like the first one, the snow doesn't follow me all the way to the bottom. It keeps piling up in the area that was what I first clicked on. I suppose there's no way to fix this, just a quip.
I voted for no, because I don't think there are too many forum styles. It's fun and exciting to come up and see these new forum styles when Ai releases something new, so why not coordinate Channel-Ai with Ai's activities? Makes sense. Maybe it's a little overwhelming for newbies though, coming and seeing all those forum styles to choose from. Plus, when you have a lot of styles, if you decide you really hate the new one, you can go back and switch it to something else you prefer (don't know why you would, though). |

There was no snow when I first saw this layout! I love it! But I noticed the same problem with the piling up in weird places. It would be really cool if there were a way to have it follow you down a long page. I wonder if you just sit idle on the page for long enough, how high will it pile?
We have EGGS now! How cute! I love them even more so than the hearts! It totally ties in with the theme. I'm not sure I like the color of the emoticon pack though. They look kind of sunburned or something. |

| I like it. It's got a cute concept with a definately cooking theme. What I do not like are the red emoticons. Seem a bit too strong for me. |

Is that all you have to say? I wouldn't mind if you have any critique, but just a question like that is a little lame.

Your computer will start to slow down before it gets "that' much. From the programmer's note, the piling script "can be very CPU/resource-intensive over time".

They do follow the screen in my Firefox 1.5. Sometimes they got stuck but usually they works fine.

I recoloured the emoticons, hopefully they look better now. |

Nice layout, I like the eggs they make me hungry . I also like the snow effect makes it like a christmas edition. By the way eyn, there is never too much layouts, it gives us fans the choice of customizing the layout with a wide varity of good looking backgrounds . |

the egg icons look great and the snow is very pretty!
i'm not sure if this is a bug, but whenever i click on a link in a post (that leads outside of channel-ai) it loads the page in the same window. see, i can't remember how it was in the past and in other forum styles. |

I LOVE this new style! I like the pink and the eggs! ha ha they are so cute! It's very clean and simple and pretty. The snow is kinda cool, too. But it makes the forum a tad bit chilly. :brrrrr: Great job eyn, so when are you getting started on the layout for the picture-book version? |

This style is nice... Very simplistic which is nice... The only bad thing I could say is there is too much whitespace in the main body, and I have a personal disliking for the pic with Otsuka Ai in the red hood. |
