Firstly, it is amazing that Ai is ranked #6 in only her second full year in the entertainment industry... What I also find amazing is Kumiko at #1, Ayu at #15, and to a lesser extent, Hikki nowhere to be found.... Is this list compiled through voting? |

It's based on everything from sales to popularity and stuff. I'm not surprised that Ayu's that far down because she has been there for a long time and she cannot be exactly the artist that stunned 2005. Ku did however. |

Well, I wouldn't exactly say she 'stunned' 2005.
But thing is, her My Story album hit 1.1 mill from memory, all her 2005 singles exceeded 300k while Bold & Delicious hit 150k I think.... I think on sales alone Ayu deserves a much higher ranking than 15...
And what's more, Kumiko has only had one #1 single.... I'm more inclined to think album/single sales don't have much weight in this.....
But the most important thing is, Otsuka Ai is #6. |
