Hi everyone, I just join the forum today. Glad to see so many Ai's fan here!!
I have only get into Jpop a few months ago, I only heard of Utada hikaru then. I wanted to listen to some other Jpop so I went to search on one of the Jpop forum. I got to listen to many other Jpop songs from Ayumi, Mika Nakashima, Mihimaru GT and then suddenly I bump in to "Smiley" by Ai Otsuka.
LOL what a song!! Have to admit at first it sound like soundtrack from an animation movie, but I could not stop smiling when listening to it. I tried to look around for more songs from this Ai then oh my god! I like all of them!! What is going on here?!!
Started to find more information about this girl....What?! She wrote her own song?!! She play piano?! and what a personality!! All I can say is that the more I learn about her the more I like her...... Such a happy girl, full of energy and so talented.
Before I know it, I have now got all her albums and all her PV, got the live concert DVD even got her Photo book. Oh MY GOD!!! I have become her fan!! |

I think you almost pretty much described how I discovered Ai. I wanted to branch out beyond Hikki and Ayu and then suddenly, I stumbled on two Ai videos. SMILY and Daisuki da yo. I was so blown away by the differences in her style, her talent and her personality so much that I just had to find out more. That's what's so great about Ai. It seems like the more you find out about her, the more she continues to surprise you and draw you in.
Anyways, thank you for that wonderful story! I hope you have fun here at Channel-Ai! It's a great place for all of us who have been sucked in by Ai's irresistible charm to get together.  |

First i listened to SPEED, then Utada Hikaru
I kinda didn't realli like Ayu cuz so much ppl liked her
um...then i came across Ai from a frd n i love my frd for sharing
n me n that frd are best frds now kakakaka
n i love Ai just as much!
i especially love Daisukidayo
