this award is based on:
1. opinion poles on the tbs website
2. singles record sales
3. mobile phone downloads
4. internet downloads
5. an enactment committee << this is the most important
last year the best album of the year went to mr.children's "i love u" album. the song "sign" from that album was also voted as the best song of the year. it was the ending theme song to the mega hit drama series "orange days".

yeah, i saw that part! where the girl from hana no something was being broadcast while ai got award! planetarium is a very very good song that has so much strong emotions compacted into a song...so, it wasnt unexpected that ai would win with that song although, cherish should have gotten one too...
i also read in the newspaper that koda kumi was there! and she was wearing lesser clothing than usual  well, it was only side view... |

Want to know something twisted?
Well, the records presentation took place on 31/12/2005. So of course, one would assume that nobody knew the results apart from the staff at Nihon Record Taishou before the said date.
However, when I got all three of my LOVE COOK'S today, there was a sentence in the blurb that caught my attention. '... featuring the song that won a Gold Award at the 47th Nihon Record Taishou Awards, PLANETARIUM'. Of course, LOVE COOK was released on 14/12 and 29/12 for overseas version... Yet it was already reported many days earlier!
