I do hope it's Ootsuka Ai, though Kumi appeals more to men. I think Ai's cutesy songs and behavior attracts many people to listen, and her music deviates from the ordinary..  Love her songs most! |

Wow. I was so shocked to discover that. I guess she appeals to an older age group compared to Ai and Ayu. She has gotten alot more flashy now that her popularity has went up like crazy.
I think Ai deserved to be next best. Ai is more of an all-around artist..can sing..play instruments..ect.. alot more verstile than Ku.., but Koda did some insane advertising and now she is on top. Her new CD, Best Second Session sold 983,000 first week...that is insane!  http://www.oricon.co.jp/news/ranking/15289/
Then again, quick to rise = quick to fall. Ayu has been here for a long time and has a soild fan base. Ai too is etablishing a good fan base. Look at Orange Range...they were super popular..and then dissapeared after 2004-2005!.  |
