Well probably it will involve a new mystery, however it shall continue on the relationship between Yuhikira and her kid. Little is known at this point though.

I'm assuming it should be a new mystery too. I'm so eager to watch the movie!

Looks good, will watch. just one itsy-bitsy thing i d like to point out. the translation for the tagline is wrong. It should be Whats "justice"?Occupation: Cop. Divorced, 1 kid. (kind of a weird tagline...but then a lot of japanese ones are...like the morinaga aloe yogurt advertisement catchphrase translates as "i think you, who is trying to become pretty, is cute." ok there...)

Ok, I was trying to hold off watching this until after my exams were over but from the rave reviews I kept on hearing, I couldn't resist any longer. I kinda wish I did though because I doubt I'll be able to wait til after my exams are over. Anyway, the 1st episode was already quite cool...I love Shinohara's character; I swear she's the epitome of cool. Her attitude, style and outfit and everything...and I was surprised when I saw Eita appear as well as I wasn't expecting him! But oh well, his character seems to be pretty funny too.

I half-read some of the other comments and I'm not sure if I spoiled the story for myself already so I'm just gonna avoid everything else until I finish this series.

Oh, and the ending theme is sooo nice! I love its style, kinda reminds me of Utada Hikaru's Sunglasses or In my Room. I'm not too into Yuna Ito but I love this song!

Ah I watched this a few months ago on a streaming site (too lazy to DL). I ended up watching the whole series in about three days because I couldn't stop watching and had to know what happened next. I don't want to spoil it too much but the episodes were definitely tied together and it was one of those unraveling type of series (kind of like the movie Memento, where everything piece of the puzzle fell into place at end).

I think that this was definitely one of Eita's best performances to date. Definitely way better than Tokyo Friends. In my mind better than Nodame Cantabile (even though I felt he was quite good in that). His character was quite different in Last Friends but I felt both his performance in Unfair and Last Friends were on par.

I've never seen Shinohara Ryoko in anything before (J-drama or movies) but I felt her performance was steller. It definitely makes me want to see the movie just to see her act again.

And the theme Faith from Yuna Ito was great. That was when I felt Yuna was releasing consistently good songs ... granted that was her second single, but I felt her first three singles were some of her best works. If Gate ever comes out, I'll probably change my mind.

^ If you want to watch another dorama with Shinohara Ryoko in it, give At Home Dad a try. Ryoko plays a character that is completely opposite of the one in Unfair, where she portray a model house wife who switches house role with her husband and goes back to work to support the family.

This was my first mystery dorama and is highly addictive. A while ago the soft sub for the Special was released. I highly recommend that you watch the Special before watching the movie as the Special follows up part of the dorama's story and help explain the setting/new characters in the movie.

^ Ah yea thanks for the heads up on the Special. I've heard about it but didn't think it related the the movie too much. That good to know. I know where I can see the special I just have to wait for my computer to be fixed XD

Have you seen the movie? Did you feel that the movie was on par with the series in terms of executing the storyline/the cast's acting.

I'll have to check out that other drama At Home Dad that you mentioned. The synopsis sounds really interesting and could prove to be entertaining.

Thanks again!

^ I did watch the movie, and sadly it was before I got my hands on a Chinese sub Special. I went ahead and watch the movie first because a friend told me that if you watch the movie, there's no need to watch the Special because it's the same thing. I have to disagree with this statement, because that's not how I felt after watching the Special.

Basically, the Special is like continual of the main story cause it focuses on a case that's related to Yukihira's father. If you remember, one of the reason why she became a police officer is to find out about her father's death and this is why the Special's storyline is about.

As for your question about the movie, I can tell you that the acting is definitely as good as the original. It's been a while since I watch the movie and I know I have forgotten some details about the storyline, so I don't want to give a definite answer for that till I get a chance to watch it again. But I do remember that the movie kept me on the edge of the seat and the ending left me with a big question mark, and very eager for another "Unfair-related-something" to be release soon.

Another good series she is in is Anego, where she plays an office lady starved for love, it was very enjoyable. Nod Unfair the movie was just okay, it was really good for 2/3 of the way thru, things just wrapped up too nicely. A good movie Ryoko is in is called Uchoten Hotel-it has a few different names- where she plays a bonde haired hooker, it's a comedy/drama, it would get a 9/10 on the rating scale. Surprised

All this talk got me to watching it again, just gets better with each watch, there are just so many interesting characters and twists in the storyline, highly suggested if you are looking for a dorama to watch. Smile

Sorry for too many posts in a row, but I'm slowly uploading the Unfair series for someone, I've done episodes 1 and 2. I have the DVD, so it takes a while for my snail-like computer to copy, convert and upload. Sad Actually, what I'm wondering if anyone would like the files, I could post the link here, quality is good and they are subbed in English, this series is highly recommended! Nod
