Wah...by the looks of this thread, everyone loves HYD. *not alone!* XD HYD is so awesome, love it, hwoever I'm a bit behind! T_T I watched ep. 3 of seasons 2, but I'd like to watch it with subs anI haven't gotten to yet. IT's so good though ^_^ Also:
So exciting. My boyfriend has forbidden me to watch episode 3 without him. He's such a cute fanboy and gets upset every time Domyouji is a jerk.

A little off but... Has anyone else here read the HYD manga?
Well, if you have, I wonder if you also think they're saving up manga arc for a possible third season? I thought they might use up most of the manga plot but looking at this rate they'll definitely have enough for at least one more season just based on manga plot, ne? Although I dunno how they'll make it, if they do. |

Yay! Someone else who's read the manga. I had to work hard to find/get the whole series of... 36 volumes? Gah I really want to read it all again ><
I think they have enough material for a 3rd season definitely. The end of season 1 kind of made it to a point similar to the end of the manga, just cutting out about 90% of the original story. But it's a strong enough JDrama for it to not matter that it doesn't stick to the book. I think it's just a matter of shuffling story arcs around and then having an amazing ending.
Having read the manga, I'm even more intrigued about Rui
Only 3 more days until I'm allowed to watch ep 3

I'm not exactly sorry for her - imo I think she fell in love with Tsukasa too fast and the only reason why seems to be because she's his fiance. She seems a fickle airhead to me and kinda dense too. Tsukasa's obviously not into her - he's always pissed off and pushing her away and seeing her clinging after him is annoying. She only realises that there's something between Makino and Tsukasa when she sees them together. Also how can she not get the fact that Tsukasa's mother is using her because the Doumyouji company is risking failure? I guess I just don't like how she clings to Tsukasa in such a persistent manner and yet she knows he'll never love her. Their relationship is obviously forced and Shigeru usually ends up crying or something.
Anyhow so now we see why Tsukasa's trying to give up on Makino - because that man who was employed with their company committed suicide because he was fired when Tsukasa made a mistake so now he feels the weight of the company all over him. However he's still torn and still loves Makino so he's obviously jealous to see Rui trying to get Makino. And he's stuck to a woman who he finds really annoying. Pretty melodramatic.
Also Shizuka seems to be a different actress. I preferred the previous actress, was so much more gorgeous while this one acts so mechanical. Rui seems to have completely let go of his feelings for her, in fact he seems more determined to get Makino. And somehow I think Makino still has feelings for him - though their relationship would probably be kind of one sided, since she's always kind of intimidated by him. I still like Makino and Tsukasa best because they're at the same level while being awkward in a manner which creates a spark between them. I think they have the best chemistry.
Anyhow to download episode 4 I suggest visiting this journal. It's always pretty up-to date. |

i can see where you're coming from with shigeru; didnt like her at all starting from the park scene. but i kinda opened up to her after that scene with her and makino when she cried about how happy she was being with tsukasa. she does seem.. oblivious to everything. thats the sad part lol.
i remember they showed tsukasa having that dream way before, like right when makino and him broke off contact in new york. and it was also before Tsukasa's mother announced the engagement, which was a surprise to him. so i think it might be something even bigger than just the company and the forced marriage? he couldn't have felt pressured to give up on Makino before he knew he had to marriage a heir to keep their company from falling. right? XP iuno just my speculations. i didnt pay much attention to shizuka, but she seemed kind of the same to me as for makino, she does feel intimidated by Rui, but that's probably because of whats left of her old feelings. im confident to say her heart still sides with tsukasa. Rui makes things too awkward; moving in on her like that >O. im going to predict Makino rejecting Rui at some point in the future. |

They're moving along the different story arcs really slowly this time while adding in lots of details. (I think... I may be forgetful. ) I'm actually surprised that the add-ons are working along really well and actually help along the story, because usually changes to original plots turn out awkward. Although for an ending... I wonder if it'll be the same as first season's "I love you and all is good... at least until the next season!" ending. |

Well... I only watched the first half of the first episode when I thought like "this is too much!"...
I don't know... I think Makino is a bit... dumb, lol. And like Junpei was just plain annoying to me. But I really want to try and find the manga... cause I like saw a scan and it seemed pretty funny. Does anyone know the publisher? |

Yeah she's kind of always in the middle when something's important comes up and she assumes things which is pretty annoying. I remember how she claimed that she and Makino were best friends when it's obvious that her best friend's Yuki. It's quite odd seeing Shigeru seems to be living her own fantasy world.

In episode 4 they show a flashback of how he made a mistake and a lot of people got fired because of it. The man who committed suicide is probably one of the fired people. It seems that he still feels guilty and he knows that if he marries Shigeru he can save his company and all the workers. Seems that it's the reason why he wants to give up on Makino and yet he definately doesn't want to see her with Rui. I'm predicting he'll fight with Rui again. |

yeah i've just watched episode 4.. and the trailer made me even want to watch episode 5 right away. haha.
I felt so heartbreaking whenever i see tsukasa caught in the middle. Shld he go against his heart? If he marries Shigeru, his company will be saved. but the price to pay is lost of his loved one. haix.
and i loved tsukasa's sister. the way she is true to makino and care about her brother...
rui.. i think in episode 4, his intention is much clearer. he like makino!!!! especially in the trailer, the scene where rui and tsukasa fight.. argh! suspension is killing me. can't wait! XD |

I saw episode 5! Tsukasa went ballistic. Though I feel really bad for Rui. And Makino's brother too! It made me kind of sad.
But excited for episode 6. |

Episode 6 subs are out people!
It was quite funny. Might I say I love Tsukasa's Engrish? xD
I just wish Tsukasa would break it off with Shigeru. I don't see why he's so hesitant. He doesn't like her, so why should he feel responsible for looking after her if he's all out for Makino. Especially after all those things that happened, Tsukasa should initiate something for them to be together!
And Poor Rui. ;o;
I really can't wait for episode 7.
Sojirou cries? Eek! I feel a tear coming.
I wonder what happened to Junpei. I hope he's just not a one episode character. (I'm trying not to be biased with Ikuta Toma.) And I wonder what's going to happen between Sara and Sojirou. At first, I thought Yuuki and him were kind of an awkward couple, but now I don't think it's so bad after all.
And will Akira always stay single? |
