So far I know, her single is going to have the name "Eien / BELIEVE IN LOVE", a double A-Side. But this could be a fake too, I'm not sure 100%

Thanks for the info Smile

Looks like Boa's keeping really busy. With a new single and best album coming out in Japan and a career in America I wonder if she'll come out with anything in Korea Confused Looking forward to a new version of Meri Kuri though, It's one of my favorites by Boa Love

With sell units of albums being so low in Korea, I don't think SM will have the Korean market on their agenda right now unless BoA is needed there to advertise a clothing, shoe, or cosmetic line. Don't look for any Korean release anytime soon since they are concentrating on a market that'll make BoA the most money if she can contain what's left of her popularity in Japan and succeed in America. Korea is now left for when everything else fails.

That's too bad. I really miss BoA's Korean music. Sad

Hmm I'm a little shocked there isn't more action in this thread, though I guess aren't that many BoA fans around here.

Anyways I've lovin' her new Japanese single Eien. You can see the PV here:

The choreography in the PV kind of reminds me of Sweet Impact.

Cover for her upcoming Best of Album, this version included her US debut album.

There will be three versions for her upcoming album. CD Only, 2CDs, 2Cds+2DVDs.

Yea I was debating about that as well. I do eventually want the best album since I like the songs on it and I want to check out her US album as well.

But if one were to order the CD only (which has a really nice cover) and pick up her album here (anyone living in North America anyway) it'd be good because then she would get good US/Canada sales which would encourage her or her record company to put out more of her albums in North America ...

But the 2CD+2DVD could be appealing if you want the extra footage of what she's doing for her US debut. Plus if you're lazy, it's all bundled into one.

As for the PV, what did you think of her dancing???

Hmm, I wonder how BoA will fair will her American debut. Granted, time will only tell but I wonder if how AVEX is approaching this, is it better that what EMI tried to do with Utada Hikaru?

Granted, I can kind of see where Utada and her management team went wrong with Exodus, but there were good songs on the album. But I think MINK (whom is also under AVEX) only broke into the dance charts. MINK's English is great, so is Jyongri. ... actually Utada has great English too because she did live in New York (or was it LA?) for a while. If they were actually marketed well, I can see them being introduced in radio/music stations here. But the marketing and promotions would have to be nearly flawless to get attention.

I've heard some of BoA's recent interviews. Her English has improved a lot but you can definitely hear her accent. I wonder how North Americans will see her. I know some people are aware of her already, but this was prior to her promotions done in late 2008 because she did have some strong anime tie-ins. But Utada kind of had that going for her as well with the Kingdom Heart tie-iins. But that didn't do much for Utada,

I just wonder what it'll take to impress people to develop completely new fans.

Someone in another forum mentioned her video for "Eat You Up" was aired on Much Music It;s Canada's equivalent to MTV). I haven't seen it but I don't watch Much as much I as I use to. The poster didn't specify which version was played. I do wonder if it's the Korean version or the US version. This makes a huge difference since the Korean version was 100x better (the dancing was so much more solid and overall more entertaining and less cheesy). The US version was such a train wreak (imo) that it might make a bad impression on people whom have not heard of her before. I mean c'mon using her name to make phrases like Best of Asia and Bring on America (seriously, what was the director thinking??) ... when I told my co-worker (whom has heard of BoA), she just stared chuckling and shook her head in disappointment.

I personally think people would be more impressed by this:

Surprised You've started a whole chain reaction to that video you posted. I love that performance Love Love Love Love Love and the song too. One of my favorites of BOA OMG Now I'll be listening to BOA for a long time lol That song always puts me in a mood especially that performance Boogie

I love Boa's dancing Embarassed At first I thought that Boa's dancing was a bit out of place in the PV because of the song but then after a bit I didn't bother me soo much

It be nice if she got some promotion for her album here in America but I don't watch MTV so I wouldn't know if it ever came on there or the radio. Confused I'm hoping the best for Hikki and Boa. I plan on buying both albums but with Boa's I'm debating because I'd like the PV collection but I'd like to help support her so I'm torn right now Confused

I heard another Boa song leaked from her U.S. Album but I'm not sure which one Shifty I'll have to peek around for it Laughing

I have to admit, Eien got me listening to BoA again.

Her dancing has improved a lot (or at least I think so). When she did Sweet Impact, she was good, but you could sense she was a bit stiff and maybe it was just me, but I got this vibe that she was thinking about the choreography step by step. When, I first saw Eat You Up I definitely thought she was dancing more naturally, almost as if it was second nature to her.

As for the leaked US song, I think you may be refering to "I Did It For Love" featuring Sean Garrett
hmm it's already been taken off youtube though. I did find it on a blog
http://www.allkpop.com/index.php/full_story/boa_i_did_it_for_love_us_track_leaked/

I'm not sure what to make of it yet. It's very digitized. Though North America kind of like that nowadays. I think I need to hear the full version to make any more remarks.

Also on BoA website, you can heard previews for Universe f/ Crystal Kay and an acoustic version for Believe in Love.since both those songs will be on her upcoming triple A-side single.

Oh and there's also another PV for Eat You Up .... yea I don't know why they decided to make a third video for the same song. I haven't seen it yet though because they took it down before I heard it about =(

I did get a chance to watch that other version of Eat You Up, although at the time I didn't know it was the third version

Okay I think this is the third PV

Eat You Up

Let me know if this is it or not Confused

Yea I think that is the third version of the PV. I don't get why the felt the need to do another alternate version, especially when it's so similar to the original Korean version. I know it's by the same director. But all he did was add some scenes with BoA in a chair and extended the scene where she's dancing solo.

I think her site has some other songs for her upcoming single Eien

Universe f/ Crystal Kay & VERBAL (m-flo)
http://www.avexnet.or.jp/avexdb/boa/asx/AVCD-31597_002.asx

Believe in Love f/ BoA (acoustic version)
http://www.avexnet.or.jp/avexdb/boa/asx/AVCD-31597_003.asx

And she'll be on Music Station on the 13th to sing Universe, dunno if the others will be with her too ... wait, just checked the site, yea they will be.

Also, she's doing a live in LA on the 21st. Guess BoA will be on the airplane a lot going back and forth between Japan and the States to promote her future releases.

^_^ I recently got into BoA. Before, I was too lazy to really take a look at her stuff. But my best friend told me to watch the Eat You Up video...and the choreography plus the skeletal, yet freakishly catchy chorus pulled me in. So now I'm a fan.

Eien is such a pretty song, I listened to it on repeat for fifteen minutes once. And the dancing in the PV is so great, I was really impressed. BoA's such a talent to dance like that and also have above-average vocals unlike many artists out there.

I showed Eat You Up to a few of my friends, and they liked it Giggle So I hope the US album does well.

Thanks for the rip of Universe ^_^ I'll have to check it out Boogie

I"m surprised she's performing Universe, thought she'd be performing Eien but it is a 3a side single right?

@ octocoffee It's nice to new fans Tongue I've been a fan of Boa since Every Heart Nod (While watching Inuyasha) I fell in love and started looking into her. She's got some great songs, and I love her ballads, She's one of the best. Love

@octocoffee - Yea it's nice to see new fans, especially now that she's trying to break into the North American market. I've know BoA since the Solid007 days (a Korean music community) so I knew her just a little before she tried to break into the Japanese market. Her Korean stuff is good too,

I highly recommend checking out her Best of Soul albums as it gives a good takes of old school BoA works when she was first starting out in Japan. Actually I know that a whole bunch of her old stuff is being having a priced-down re-issue. This is the list:

BEST OF SOUL (2500 yen)
BoA ARENA TOUR 2005 -BEST OF SOUL- (3500 yen)
BoA THE LIVE (2800 yen)
BoA ARENA TOUR 2007 "MADE IN TWENTY(20)" (2800 yen)

As for current and new fans, check out her MySpace page, there's a longer preview of "I Did It For Love"
http://profile.myspace.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=user.viewprofile&friendid=415136737

I really like the song, or what I'm hearing, probably my only gripe with it is that I feel her voice is overly digitized.

The cover for the US album is also out and you can see it on her MySpace page when you play "I Did It For Love"

There's a Korean fan site that make the covers into wallpapers
http://www.uriboa.com/zboard/zboard.php?id=main1&page=1&sn1=&divpage=1&sn=off&ss=on&sc=on&select_arrange=headnum&desc=asc&no=5392

And I assume this is the promo picture made into walls
http://www.uriboa.com/zboard/zboard.php?id=main1&page=1&sn1=&divpage=1&category=1&sn=off&ss=on&sc=on&select_arrange=headnum&desc=asc&no=5348

And if anyone has facebook, she has a facebook page and it gets update quite often.
She's having a listening party on Feb 28th (possible that the album might leak out after the party)
Here's the poster for it

And she's performing this Saturday in LA at The Shrine Auditorium. If anyone is in LA this weekend, tickets can be purchased here (it's the first event listed)
http://www.shrineauditorium.com/events.php
promo poster for the event
http://www.kollaboration.org/images/stories/flyers/kollab9_01.jpg

I think she's also schedule to do something in Vegas sometime in March, but I haven't seen much details
