So they've priced down some reissues Maybe I'll buy some of the tours.
Overall I liked the new single. I really love Eien and also I love Believe in Love & I did it for Love. Both are gorgeous So for the past few days I've been listening to Boa Definately looking forward to her new album. So much more than Utada's I love Hikki but for some reason I'm more excited about Boa's |

Haha! Exactly the same as me! I kinda lost interest in BoA after The Face but I still looked into Eat You Up and that completely turned me off...I really liked Eien though so I'm glad I looked back into her. She used to be one of my most favourite J-pop singers but she's fallen down my list a bit. Oh well, Eien made me happy again
@octocoffee: Yeah, isn't she just fantastic! She's like the female Michael Jackson to me lol. I swear I saw her grab her crotch in the Eien PV...
Edit: Actually, upon watching a higher quality video, turns out she didn't...her hand just rests above it. Oh well, she's still incredibly hot in that video And damn she sure makes suits look good... |

There's a sneak peak at BoA's new MV out on youtube
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_NRsV-zpEFw
The quality ain't that good since it's a fan cam but hopefully this will get aired on MTV soon or leak out in the Asian countries.
All I know is that it's directed by Joseph Kahn whom is a famous MV director in North America. He's directed tons of music videos and have worked with tons of artist from Britney Spears to Backstreet Boys to Chris Brown to Pussy Cat Dolls and the list goes on and on.
Can't wait to see the full MV .. though the MV does remind me of Britney's Stronger vid >.< |

Her dancing is tight! I love all the props, and the cane made me think of Rain It looks like something that'll appeal to the general public. When it comes out, I'll going around showing it to friends, because it's quite a catchy song despite the repetitiveness. |

Pictures from an event for BoA's "I Did It For Love" MV ... possibly a premiere of sorts ...
In the last picture, the guy to her left (one not wearing black) is the director Joseph Kahn.
I meant to link to his site in my previous post but I forgot XD

I've listened her song Eat you up recently, cuz one of my chinese friends really likes her, so she made me watch the video Have to say, she's a really good hip hop dancer! And the dance in the video was pretty cool too (in the korean version, I didn't see the US version) And song is very catchy I already remembered some steps from the dance I thik I'm gonna download her album to listen to her songs more)))) |

Haha she's so short I dunno, for some reason I always got the impression that she was quite tall. I guess it's cause most models are tall and she intensely reminded me of one so that's where the connection took place... |

^ well BoA is very lean/thin so when she's on her own, it does appear as if she's tall. But I guess if you put her next to the average American or taller people in general, she'll look short.
I find most American Asians to be taller (maybe it's the diet O.o) or the Asians in the Norther regions that are taller than the average Asian in most Asian countries ...
anyways ... previews for the Best&USA album are out
http://www.avexnet.or.jp/boa/discography/
Anybody want to weigh in on the previews? |

Yeah, I'm thinking it's probably the diet. I have a lot of Asian friends who have lived here for a vast majority of their lives and most of us are around 180cm+. I believe 180cm = 6ft?
Anyway, from the previews, I think she sounds a lot like Britney Spears at the moment. It's quite heavily focused on this electronic style, dance-able sound. I was expecting her English to sound a little more FOB but it's improved quite a lot. In the end, I'd have to say I'm not really looking forward to either Utada Hikaru's or BoA's US albums. It'd be awesome if they could both make it through because then it is very likely that Asian music will touch more people around the world but I won't be holding my breath. |

God, I can't wait for this to come out; I want to go to an actual store to buy it
I hope she blows up here because she really deserves it.
I've always loved Eat You Up but I Did It For Love puts the icing on the cake. I can totally see the latter on the top 20 in Billboard Hot 100. I think it's good that it's auto-tune heavy / repetitive, since that's what sells over here nowadays. If I didn't know any better, I would've thought she was just another urban pop artist, as cheesy as that may sound.
A lot of my friends who don't listen to Asian music (and instead listen to stuff like T-Pain, Flo Rida, Lil' Wayne, Justin Timberlake, etc.) have been playing her songs like crazy. I don't know if I should, but I get really happy every time they do, since it might mean she actually has a serious chance here. In fact, it's really amazing to see her adapt to American mainstream so easily. Too bad SE7EN couldn't really do the same, but I'll still hope for Wonder Girls.
But... I don't know about Eien because I basically hate the bulk of BoA's Japanese music and don't pay attention to it. I only like Love and Honesty and 2 songs from Made in Twenty (20); other than that I'll only listen to her Korean music. It's the same way with DBSK. |

Hmmm BoA's one very busy girl. Looks like she's gotten into the jewelry business as well.
I don't know how to convert Korean currency offhand but it looks quite pricey.

Her album should probably leak some time tonight. |

^ I wonder if she's gonna end up running her own fragrance line as well then like other huge celebrities have been doing nowadays...
As for her jewellery, it isn't all that pricey really. 128000won is approximately 137AUD and that would be around 115CAD according Exchange Rates.org.
I checked out the leak...her music is way too repetitive and everything on the album sounds the same to me (although I was surprised when I found the english version of Girls On Top - still prefer the korean version). Definitely not impressed by Utada or BoA. Then again, I'm not a fan of a lot of American mainstream music either. |

Listened to the album, and it's a pretty solid pop album! It's definitely something I could see my friends listening to, so I hope this album does well in the US.
sljinu is right, mainstream American isn't really that interesting, so a lot of the music is really repetitive, but I like it for the dance scenes. I mean, there are just different aspects of music I enjoy from each place in the world, and right now American music is good for the superficial fun. BoA definitely did a good job on delivering a fun, dancey album |

Yeah, the album is good, I expected a worser album because I don't like(d) "I did it for Love", but "Eat you up" is really good. And yeah, what should I say? The album is really catchy and dance-like, I fall in love with "Energetic" and "Obsessed" , but... I hope there would be a ballad. I think a ballads aren't the best but a mix of her "Winter Love" and for example Hikki's "This One ~Crying like a Child" would be perfect. But except of this, I hope she has succes with her album! |
