it is still similar to the 1st one..
in that there is a story separate for
each one of the main guys in her class

| i just watched gokusen because of jun:D at first i liked it but i wouldnt prefer anyone to watch it because its too long and the story is just repeating itself |

i just started watching gokusen not too long ago.
it was greaaaat. i couldn't stop watching! a little
ways in to season two now. 
my favorite episode was 4 -- when kuma & the
gang were singing the ABCs. XD |

I LOVE GOKUSEN!!
That was the first dorama I saw in 2005 and first by Matsumoto Jun. I loved the story and I think I have seen the series around 5 times... 
I know its alot... but its mainly cuz I have shown it to other ppl and end up watching it with them as well.
The series is very nicely done... a little bit of comedy.. a little of romance (if you can call that romance)... a little bit of climax and a little bit of cheese.. well alot of cheese
But we all love cheese
Honestly I was inpressed by Matsumoto Jun and have become a fan of his other works as well...
The guy who played Uchiyama Haruhiko... another brilliant actor who has been nothing but outstanding... this I state after watchin HYD and Azumi ^_^
I can go on and on about this series....
My favourite episode is the one where Sawada Shin's sister comes into the scene... I personally love it since the brother sister relationship is quite close to me and my bro
All episodes have their little moments which are hard to not love... and that is why I really love the series and not get bored everytime I watch it ^_^

Moving on to season 2...
It is entertaining... but there are some similarities between the stories and characters...
Its like the same ingredient in many cases in a different mix.
But I like the second season nonetheless. Kuma being there adds to it.
Kame and Jin have done a good job. One can easily identify that Sawada Shin's character has been split and placed in those two.
Still the original is original... If you watch this season first... then its a great!
Else its ok... but good fun ^_^

I'm watching it now. Already seen the 1st episode as well. Waiting for the 2nd to get uploaded on youtube. I should check out d-addicts...
I'm worried about the second Gokusen too. Will the characters even compare to the original? No one can replace Sawada Shin ^.^ |

Though one can clearly see the similarities in some characters...
The way Jun does is it... is very... Original!  ^_^ |

I have seen only few episodes of the anime...
and I think the series is quite different to the anime...
though a basic idea remains |

Lol, yep they're funny. But what I don't ge is why do they only hint about a relationship with Shin and Yankumi? I wish the second Gokusen had that....  |

I saw this after I watched Nobuta wo Produce and I really liked this one, too. Since I'm just getting into jdramas, and I hadn't paid any attention to Arashi until "Kitto Daijoubu", I didn't know MatsuJun. When I saw him in Gokusen, I thought he had a really beautiful smile. It was like I was in a trance everytime I saw him 
I still haven't seen Gokusen II yet. But I really want to |

I 'd Gokusen. I've seen 2 or 3 of the Gokusen's and I think I have the whole collection if there isn't another sequel to it. Yankumi is just hilarious  I loved her role in this, sort of reminds me of GTO and those other teacher role dorama's. I don't know if the anime is any good, has anyone seen it? |

It reminded me of GTO too
actually now i wanna watch GTO again...
and as for the love hint... i think if they had hinted something similar in the end of season 2... then it would have lost its charm |

I totally i loved gokusen. Though, it was kinda corny ><
But lovable. The end made me kinda cry, and think about how my years as an able-to-do-whatever-happy-kid are almost over, and it seems i wasted them....
i could not stand season 2. They should of done something like, Yankumi working in Shinnippon Heisei University (where most of the students went), and having fun times like that again,and then Shin coming back from Africa, and Kuma, Ucchii, Noda and Minami getting together again cuz of some cool plot intrigue, and shinohara-san and yankumi getting married. And what they definately shouldnt have done: Take away Itou Misaki (Fujiyama Shizuka-sensei) and Kawashima-sensei. They were the best. I hate season 2
