I just have to say that PV is awesome! It's what made me a L'Arc fan to begin with. |

General Information about Hyde
# He was the guitarist in the band Jelsarem's Rod before joining L'Arc as the vocalist (he also originally wanted to be guitarist of L'Arc).
# He married Megumi Oishi on December 25, 2000. He has stated that he had always admired Oishi and that she has a beautiful face. Hyde was introduced to Megumi on the Japanese music variety show Utaban. They have one child, who was recently revealed to be a boy.
# One of his trademark accessories is a Lucifer ring (silver ring with a large stone - he has red, yellow and black versions - on which is inscribed a pentagram) which he had personally crafted for him by Alex Streeter of New York.
# One of his other trademark accessories is a barbed wire necklace. He often wore it during performances and photoshoots, though in recent years he seems to have abandoned it.
-------
The first song i heard of hyde was "Season's call" actually as the opening to the anime "Blood+"... and instantly fell in love with the song and the voice... and then my friend was kind enough to give me some of Hyde's songs and now I totally love hyde...
Angel's Tale is such a beautiful song! So is Evergreen. And I want to hear more and more of hyde.. ^_^
In my opinion... Hyde's voice is very alluring... as soon as you hear it... you wanna hear more of it... a very unique voice... ^_^
go Hyde

| HYDE rocks. Literally. Hehe. He's just so talented. He can churn out such songs as "Evergreen" and "Angel's Tale" but then have songs such as "Masquerade" and "Countdown". The good thing is that EVERYTHING is AWESOME. I have to say though that his album "666" is my favorite! It's so rockin'! Yeah! |

| Hyde is awesome. Pretty much everything he puts out is good. Some of his slower songs I'm not into as much, but I always love the faster songs and some of the slower ones. "666" is my favorite album from him for sure. I like it a lot better then a lot of the L'Arc stuff even. |

I haven't heard his solo album yet but I should definitely try them out. btw, I don't know if I should keep this thread up or to move this topic under the already existed "Laruku and solo project Thread". One thing for sure, broken::dreams wouldn't be too happy seeing someone making an official thread for her beloved HYDE when she could have done a better job making this ages ago. I think she didn't do it because of those already existed official threads.
Lastly, it should be HYDE not Hyde. If it's in Laruku it will be hyde. |

That's exactly what I was thinking. Definitely merge this with that one. HYDE should definitely be considered one of the "solo projects".

ok HYDE/Laruku fanatics..take a deep breath and sit down. Are you seated?
HYDE IS HAVING A CONCERT IN THE US!
..in San Fransisco...on July 5th
So those who are not Americans and won't be in San Fran during that time, then, sorry.
But, wait. I'm an American (check) and I will be in San Fran (check) so um...I WILL BE GOING. Sorry to brag, but yeah XD
More info here http://www.tofurecords.com/artists.php?artistid=hyde
YES, that's right. HYDE's album "FAITH" will be released in the US with the bonus DVD from the limited Japanese Version. So, those who can't buy the Japanese releases (like Lainay) can buy the CD with the music videos on DVD! COOL! YAY!
um... XDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDD *excited*
EDIT: Oh, and can Laruku fan livejournal users join the new icontest LARCONTEST brought to you by me and Laina You don't have to be an icon genius and just join to vote. Yay! |

Oricon Prediction for FAITH
Quote: 1 212.9 Def Tech Catch The Wave
2 94.0 HYDE FAITH
3 48.2 Matsu(?) Takako bokura ga ita
Oricon predicts FAITH will debut at #2 tomorrow with 94,000 copies sold, WAY far below Def Tech's new album.
I really think this album deserves the #1 spot, but Def Tech is EXTREMELY popular right now. I didn't realize they were releasing the same day. I hope this at least becomes his best selling album.
Remember, this is only a prediction. A miracle can happen and HYDE can totally kick Def Tech's butts and sell more than them! But seeing as their predicted first-week sales are higher than total sales of HYDE's best-selling album (ROENTGEN), it's doubtful. |

| Wow.... I never knew HYDE sold so little for his albums..... I always thought he'd sell quite a lot considering his previous singles have done well and his fangirlbase is quite large... |

^ it's not considered "that little" in reality...although it's far less than solo pop singers...
ROENTGEN is just alittle shy from the RIAJ's platinum status...The standards of Japanese music industry are different from what you may be used to, especially considering its size and many islands. That's why "million-seller" is different honor and more of a big deal than world-wide artists who sell multi-million and have "diamond" status from the RIAA...
And not only "fangirls" buy his albums and shouldn't be your argument in determining his success...
HYDE has never match L'Arc-en-Ciel in terms of sales, but he's still quite respected as a solo artist, especially with the critical acclaim he received with "ROENTGEN". |
