Woot~ Pictures of HYDE's FAITH is here!
I think it looks spectacular. I love the concept, adore the fact that each song has a different typeface, love the burnt parchment feel, and really appreciate that HYDE has included the Japanese translations of the songs.
On another note, Tofu has announced a strong possiblity that HYDE will add more dates to his US Tour. It's being called a "tour"now. XD So, those of you in the US, you still have a chance! More info on Tofu Records |

Wee~
Anyways, it's Wenesday in teh wonderful island nation of Japan, which means the Oricon week has ended! It looks like Oricon's prediction was wrong for Def Tech and Matsu Takako. Def Tech, as suspected, debuted at #1 with 358, 322 copies sold their first week. Way above the predicted 212,900 by Oricon. Matsu Takako actually debuted @ #14, WAY BELOW the #3 position predicted by Oricon. Ouch.
But, this is not about any of them. HYDE's FAITH debuted at #2 with 96, 719 copies sold the first week. (94, 000 predicted) HYDE and Def Tech are the only new entries in the Top 10 of the charts. HYDE has been steady at #2 in the daily charts until 2 days ago when he slipped to #3 while HY climbed back up to #2. Their album "Confidence Confident Version" has already been #1 on the weekly charts for 2 straight weeks.
Only thing left to do is to check the Global Charts tomorrow. |

Congrats to HYDE for getting no.2 in the weekly chart! "Faith" is a good album and those of you who haven't gotten it should check out this thread.
I don't really get what's so great about Def Tech? They totally reminds me of the crazy sales established by ORANGE RANGE. In my opinion, the music industry in Japan is really quite skewed and crazy and once in a while you get some rapping group that top the charts as if it's gold. Take a look at Koda Kumi, perhaps. What's the deal with all these? Well, Japan is a weird country, let's all accept the fact.
Even though the sales isn't that crazy, HYDE should be proud of himself for making such an awesome rock album. |

Anyways, you all have heard that 2 more dates to his American tour have been added, right?
July 3rd: House of Blues, Hollywood
July 6th: The Fillmore, San Francisco
*angry* This is AWESOME for people in or near California, but he NEEDS to come to the East Coast, darnit! T_____________T |

^ Yeah, too bad for the East Coast people. All you people who live in the East Coast need to move to Sunny California. Ah~
Anyways, Miss Laina, it's simply not possible for him to go to the East Coast at this time. First, he has his FAITH tour in Japan to get back to, and Cali is closer to Japan. Secondly, all that Jetlag! He's gonna be really tired and wow. His schedule is soooo full. I just hope that his voice is all nice and ready to go when I see him.
But, yeah HYDE (not hyde ) is getting more and more popular in Japan. The man just rocks, and the new album totally just proves how much he kicks ass. 'Nuff said.
And he must be sooo surprised how popular he is here stateside. All shows sold out in 3 minutes? His brain must've been spinning when he heard that news. XDD |

Alrighty. According to the United World Charts...
Def Tech's album is #1 in the World this week. *dies* For those of you who don't get it *coughLAINAYcough*, that means that their album sold more than any other album THIS WEEK in THE WORLD. Ok? Good.
Anyways HYDE's FAITH debuted at #14 in the Global Charts! Hurray for HYDE! Congrats HYDE. His last single SEASON'S CALL was only about 1000 copies away from making it onto the chart last time. If only SONY would make that iTunes deal! |

| I just really hope he eventually does a bigger scale tour of the US, like one with more then just a few shows. It'd be nice to have a real big tour with like 30 or more shows. That way I'd probally get to see him. |

Hehe, 30 or so shows would be great, heck, he could even fit an Australian Tour at that rate!! But seriously, do that many people know HYDE for his shows to be at or near full capacity??
No Japanese artist has ever done a large tour in America.... and I doubt HYDE will be the first. |

| So who here went to any of the HYDE concerts in California? I know broken::dreams did and had an incredible time. I see a bunch of great posts on Livejournal reviewing and putting into great detail the concerts. ^^ They sound awesome! Hopefully they can come back to the US sometime soon. I know they must've been blown away by the amount of people and how fast the tickets were sold that they should come back! *crosses fingers* |

Lol, no Lainay, I didn't have an incredible time. It was much more than that. It was like I was in heaven looking at God himself. XDDDD;
Anyways, there is no doubt now that HYDE will come back, seeing as he exclaimed it to us in the final show! My heart stopped then. XD;;
Hm, I was reading "Wired" and then saw an article about Dir en grey (a big WTF? moment! XD) and the tours they had here in America. It stated that the shows all sold out within hours and I was like "And what!?!? HYDE's sold out within MINUTES!!" Lol, but it's really exciting to see this "Japanese Invasion" getting attention in the US.
Anyways, all you guys surely know by now that SONY's re-releasing Laruku's 3" singles into 12cm, right? Even though I have all the originals, I really want this. And, it's the first time "the Fourth Avenue Cafe" will be released on disc. Exciting! |
