I found a new JPOP artist called sifow like 2 weeks ago...
I was just surfing around on some japanese blogs (understaning nothing...) when I find this blog: http://blog.livedoor.jp/sifow/ (look in this blog for more pics of her)
Hey, cute girl! She looks like a mix between Ayu, Koda Kumi and uhm someone... Then I see the words avex, minialbum and 『&YOU REVOLUTION』 in the blog. I google sifow and AVEX and find her official website: http://www.avexnet.or.jp/sifow/
Apparently she is a "new" artist that released her first minialbum on February 15th (YESASIA LINK). I've ordered the album and got it yesterday. You can download her minialbum in the OT-download forum...
So has anyone heard about sifow before? Got any background info? (me want) And after you downloaded the album tell me what you think of her!

Never heard of her, but then again, I don't actively search for artists anymore. lol 
You are so right! She totally looks like a mix bewtween Koda Kumi and ayu! That's the first thing I noticed (saw the pictures first, lol). In the last pic, though, her fake tan looks so yuck.
Anyway, I downloaded "Jewel" from the mini-album, and at first I was like "meh" her voice is very typical. But then the song picked up and it totally reminded me of JPop during the late '90's.  Ah~good stuff. I love music that brings me back.  I think I'll check her out a bit more and find some stuff about her.

Yaah!!!!!!!!!! I know this girl.
Just couple of days ago i saw her name somewhere and i looked more on her.
You are right! she looks a mix of Koda and Ayu. I like her looks quite cute. ^^^that fake tan just dont fit in her image imo...but about her music. I had the same feel as broken::dreams had it bringed some memories from the golden ages But quite good music anywyays. And oh BTW thanks a lot for the upload of her songs. |

she is pretty ^^
n looks a lot like ayu n koda
the fourth picture of her pointing at her shoe is so like ayu typical
im going to dl her songs now SOS ty for everything ^^

kikubelle just reminded me about this singer on messenger, her stuff are really catchy and her voice is really smooth and nice too. kikubelle said this girl composes her songs (actually she just wrote the lyrics, I just checked her site), which make her an impressive new artist compared to those idol singer who only have looks without real talent. 
Thanks for introducing this new artist to us SoS, I'll definitely keep my eye on her future release and see if she's really that amazing!  |

| Interesting. Seems Sifow is a gal. She looks like a mix of Ayu+Kumi indeed. Her voice is sort of scratchy too like Kumi's but is more soothing. Seems she was an indies artist before debuting with avex. Thanks for introducing me to her. I'm liking what I'm hearing right now. |

If you look at her BLOG you'll see pictures of sifow in a recording studio, I havn't translated any of the text but I'm guessing she is recording a new song.
I know there is a PV for Jewel but I have never found it to download... If someone finds it please let me know. You can see a 30sec preview on her AVEX site: http://www.avexnet.or.jp/sifow
Just click on the WMP or RealPlayer button and then skip to the time around 1 0
Found a site where you can stream interviews/"sifow walking around in stores in Tokyo asking people thing"-clips: http://www.joysound.com/special/sifow/top.html (you need realplayer to look at them)

| In May 17th, she's going to release a new single according to CDJapan. I hope she keeps on with this same style because it's quite attractive. On JPopsuki I found a link to Jewel but it has no seeders.. I'll keep looking for her pvs. Thanks for the extra goodies ^^ |

Hmm...I have to say, her music really grows on me. I heard her several days ago, and it was alright. Nothing spectacular, but not too ear-grating either. But it really grows, and I can't help but to like it. The fake tan doesn't really work with her brownish hair, but with black it looks alright. And she looks like a cross between Ayu, Kuu, and a little bit of Hitomi Shimatani for some reason.
But the wierdest thing is how her image is a contrast from her music. I expect RnB and hip-hop from her image, but her music is like eurobeat...remind me of the LOVEppear era. |

its not my fault SOS infected me first! but i love him for doing that hahaXD
in fact i love her so much that last week, i had to watch a booth for selling raffle tickets
these raffle tickets were to raise awareness for lung respiratory research
im co-prez of lung association so i have to be there
n i played a lot of Ai Otsuka, sifow and Ayumi songs~
ppl looked at me weird b/c Japanese music is hardly played at school
always brown music...not that im discriminating but its always the same songs
and i got the weirdest reaction when i played SMILY but its ok la
too bad for them! SMILY ROCKS!

she looks like koda kumi to me at first...then realized she resembles partly of koda kumi and partly of ayumi hamasaki.  |
