I downloaded 'Opera Mini' for my phone (SE W800i) and I'm so pleased with it I thought I'd mention it here.
If you haven't got a phone with a true HTML browser then this is best option -that I've found anyway- and best of all, it's completely free!
(Obviously your network operators WAP rates apply, mine are free though )
The reason it works so well is because all the content goes through their server and is compressed and reorganised to display on your phone.
All the waffle is on the site.
So now you can browse Channel Ai whenever you want! |

It's nice be missed!
It'll be a good idea to check with your provider, most do charge.... well they do in the UK anyway.
It is great though, I've looked at Channel Ai and bid on ebay on my phone today whilst at work - I have a computer at work, but that's not the point! |

I bet it will be really awesome to see how Opera Mini render Channel-Ai on a mobile phone, like I always try to access Channel-Ai when I get the chance to use a Mac just to see how much different it looks compare to PC.
Still, I haven't gotten myself a mobile phone yet and I'm like almost 22 now. I don't really need one though, but just the little features here and there seem interesting to me. I guess I'm really outdated with mobile phone technology. If I really wanted to get a mobile phone someday, it will be to catch up with the latest technology rather than using it as a phone lol. |

@mrc: how do u check my provider @-@?
i want to change my cellphone to this one
Sony Ericsson W600i
it says $199.99 CDN on the website
but i went to the service provider today n it is $99.99 CDN
however its a 3 yr term =_=...im going to guelph next yr...
also i was planning to get a vodafone...which is lik $400 - $600+CDN
i don't know =/ mayb i will see after i go on my trip to HK
@eyn: you are smart ne?
cellphone companies eat ur money as if it was cake n eat more n more n more
fido, rogers and telus i cam tell u that unless u are in great need of a cellphone,
don't get one...totally not worth it if u pay lik $37 a month for the most basic plan
u worked hard for ur money u need that money n its just not worth it la
well that is my opinion~
sorry for being off-topic >< |

From the reviews I've seen the W600i is a very good phone, you could easily get Ai's albums onto it's memory stick!
The only downside is that according to the SE website it doesn't support java applications, which means you wouldn't be able to use the Opera browser
I don't know how different the phone tarrifs are in Canada so it's hard to know what's a good deal or not. I found this site which may help you choose a good deal.
My provider here let me upgrade to the W800i for £30 ($60 cdn) and knocked my monthly bill down from £25 to £15 ($30 cdn) which I was very pleased with. I get 100 mins a month + 500 sms (1 mms uses up 4 sms) + unlimited WAP access. I'd be interested to know how this compares to other countries as British people always complain that they're getting ripped off compared to the rest of the world! |
