Hie guys!

Has anyone heard of this new Messenger from MSN? Its called Windows Live Messenger. Its been out for quite some time already, but still in beta. Its a little hard for everyone to get a hold of this, since it is by invitation only. One of my friend sent me an invitation, so I decided to use it when I got myself a new system.

First impression of it is that its a little 'pale' compared to the normal Messenger. What I mean is that the whole concept is in green! And it is also a little hard to see who is online and who is not, as the same color will be used on the contacts. There are a few things that I like about it though, and its their new offline messages. This baby is really cool, and it immediately brings me back to my ICQ days lol. There's also dynamic backgrounds for your conversation window, and so far, I like what I see.

Today when I signed in to MSN, they prompted me that there's a new version of Windows Live Messenger Beta, and I have to download it in order to proceed. So I downloaded it, and I really really love this baby now. Its lots better than the previous Beta version, Its something like what we're used to, but with added features.

The reason why they are calling it Windows Live Messenger is because Microsoft is gonna change the whole 'MSN' concept soon. Do check out http://www.live.com
This is like, Microsoft's new 'upgrade'. Soon, there will no longer be Hotmail. Its gonna be changed to Live. You guys can take a look at it, and play around with it. You can also sign up for the Windows Live mail, and get about 2GB of space, if Im not mistaken. Its only available at certain places (so far), like USA, Australia, and others. But they said that it will be available in other areas soon. Not sure on how soon though (^^;

So yea, Im done with my review of MSN Messenger Live. If you guys wanna try to use it, let me know. I think I still have like, 2 invites left lol. First come first served! So be quick Wink

Take care guys ^^

Umm I've been using this for quite a while now. I got my invite at first from Mirosoft. I've got a bunch of invites now. I'm glad to see that things only gets better with each beta update. Meow I love how now you have more ways to organize your contacts (personal information, subscribe to changes, notes, etc.) I really like the new interface too. Smile They also improved ways to organize tags, which now can easily be removed. One of the new activities, Music Mix, let's you share a playlist with your friend. I love this feature. It's really fun to listen to music with someone else. Meow Each person can add their own music to share and listen to together.

I've noticed a new clitches/bugs here and there though. Hope they will fix those soon.

hm, I'm guessing this will be Windows-only, and if there IS a Mac version it'll be pretty underdeveloped, just like the current MSN for MAC which SUCKS ON ROTTEN LOLLIPOPS. But, I guess this is interesting. Microsoft is trying to change a lot of things, but I think that Gates should be focusing on improving those boxes he calls computers rather than a new version of chat which will freeze after a couple of uses anyways. But, cool to all you who are beta-testing it. Sounds better than the old MSN for now.

So, no más hotmail??? So those of us who already have a hotmail account will have to make a new account with Live, or will they just change/redirect our mail to blahblahblahblah@live.com?? I click the link above and it doesn't have anything on the webpage Confused

Ummm it's been a long time, just thought I'd post an update there for those who are semi-interested. Tongue

Messenger Live is now a stable public beta, anyone can sign up and use it now. Just go to http://ideas.live.com and go to the messenger section. I think the new look and functions are very nifty, I recommend anyone giving it a try.

The MessengerPLUS! Live beta leaked recently. For this who doesn't use Live because there's no MessengerPLUS!, now you have no more worries. xD; It's a very stable version, I've been using it for a while and hasn't had any problems. Since it's not an official release... You can find it on the net somewhere I guess. If you can't get it, you can pm me and I'll send it to you.
