How about giving our views here on what contest to organise and let eyn to decide whether the contest would be efficent a not.Like we have the banner and the singing one.Maybe we can organise more and have a more greater fun at channel-ai.Like events.Like yearly on the same date orgainise a contest.I mean like
New Year-Best New Year Message
Easter Day-Banner contest
Christmas-Singing contest
This is only my expression to show the concept.And maybe someone can also name it is best to have how many contests in a year to enjoy the immense fun.
And after a long dissappearance for studies reason,i am sorry in many ways.So if Eyn needs help,i will be happy to voluteer.
And i certainly hope a singing contest will come again soon.But i hope the next 1 can be a free choices one.My reason is because Boys nomally have high diffculty singing girls high pitchers.All Ai's songs are sang by her(obviously i am talking rubbish,but i got a reason for showing this  ).So it is all female songs.So if it is a free choice contest.The male members can also choose a song sing by a male artists for better effects.But we also should have ai 1 too.Because it is like sort of a custom and i think it is neccessary.
And to cut Eyn expenses,i think the price should not be bought by you.It will be too expensive.Maybe a title for them forever so it appears nice.Like ch3rrie got a channel-ai-dol title and i think it should last forever(no offence).When another singer contest is here and there is new winner.The title could be changed to 06channel-ai-dol.But if got a lot of contests,there will be a lot of titles for many members.So i dont really know.sorry for leaving the problem-solving to you,eyn.
This is only all ideas of mine and i hope that i did not offend anyone,especially Eyn.
Come on,dont be afraid to give your views.If can,please vote as well as give views.it will be much appreciated.Thanks

| A contest involves a lot of work and effort. I'm sure eyn is working hard on creating contests for us but he's also got a life of his own so I think it's ideal to let him prepare these when he's comfortable with the idea and he has time. |

i agree with Ri-chan
eyn is busy man
we should not bug him even though contest would make our community more lively
bu i also think that there is a certain toll that a contest takes out of an admin
eyn is nice guy b/c he buy prizes...
we should appreciate and not make more trouble for him...
mayb there should be a contest admin...JASON gor gor or JASON ge ge in mandarin (big brother!!!)
teehee sorri for pointing u out Jaon gor gor but to me i think u are eyn's closest frd on forum...
but i did take in the fact u are busy man too
everyone is busy...=_+

I think holding contest would be fun.
but like the others say it will involves alot of time and effort.
but it would be fun for contest to be held though.
and i like the idea of having titles..  |

Why not. But not too many becouse, like everyone said it takes time,
And lots of effort and once again TIME.
So mayby not imo its better in that way like Rinoa said.
That lets eyn prepare he is a busy man and all and that.
Afterall he is the man who keeps this place running and i appreciate that.
And he has to study / and keep this place running at the same time if he wants. So i almost state the smae as Rinoa  |

the contests don't have to be held by the admin; maybe someone can volunteer to do this; about the prize I think a title may work if we don't have any sponsors for this  the winners will have the choice of their title and of course it has to be related to ai-chan or channel-ai |

Well, I think anyone who capable also can be the contest admin too, sorry I can't contribute so much in this, because I'm working out out-station, somewhere 280 km from my home. The bad thing is I don't have so much chance to logon to internet, but I will try my best to assist all of you. |

| well,i will be happy to voluteer anytime.Having many may be fun but the efforts put in may be great.If all the contests all organize by Eyn,the efforts of course will be that great.But if there are many voluteer to help out.The great effort will be divided into many small efforts but great results.So i think it is important for members to help out 1 another. |

I'm not sure how many contest we should have, but we shouldn't push too hard on having as many contest as possible and end up having contests that's not up to standard in terms of entries and antipation.
I can afford to buy prizes for contest winner as long as kind members SoS, mrc, Aprilis. and many others that actively use associate link when they purchase something from YesAsia. Custom title might only be attractive to some, not all, but in the end I hope members participated out of interest and the intention to have fun.
Jason is really busy so he can't organize any contest for Channel-Ai. I'm rather busy myself, but I'm that kind of person who will always spend some time here no matter what. Maybe my passion for my first international website makes me care a lot about the well-being of the site.
I know most of you hope to see more contest to spice up the community, but I think we can only have so many in a year, 2 or 3 wouldn't be a bad idea IMO. So far we have had a banner contest and a karaoke contest, both proved to be rather successful and we have already seen the talent of all active members here. Next contest for Channel-Ai is still in the work, if you guys have any idea please let me know here.
Lastly, I don't think I have enough confidence and trust to have normal members organizing a contest for Channel-Ai (unless I have absolute trust on that person) because I don't really want to have that kind of situation which you can't find the organizer, he/she screw up some entries and lack of communication between me and that person.
So yeah, don't worry we will definitely have more contest with decent prizes, I just need ideas to make a good contest that people will enjoy participating and voting. |

as long as the yesasia associate link is around, i'll be more than happy to use it. besides, it's the least i can do when eyn is the one paying for the server space
2-3 contests a year sounds good to me! any more than that, i think it'll be overwhelming for organizer and participants.
i don't really like the idea of having set dates for contest (new year = xxx, christmas = xxx). cause i have a feeling that will lead to some people questioning why christmas and not another religous holiday. it'll probably be better if we set the contests to months or certain period. say sometime between november - january, we'll have an annual karaoke contest. so maybe one year we'll have the contest in mid-january and then the year after we can have it at the end of november. this way, even people who always travel during certain time of the year can participate in the contests too. |
