Oh yay, what a fun topic idea! It would seem that I've tried everything mentioned in here so far. Nice choices everyone! Lainay, you're not the only one who has a Japanese mother to make such wonderful foods! Meow

鰻丼 Unagi Donburi aka Unadon (eel rice bowl dish... -_-)
Broiled eel over rice in a bowl (that was lame Shifty).

You will most likely have to buy the eel pre-packaged, as it will come prepared. Preparing the eel yourself is very difficult I would assume, so just purchase the conveniently primed eel in your... local... store... and eat it with rice. Dang, I suck at explaining things today!

Well I'm not actually sure what a lot of the stuff I ate was but I really loved onigiri. My friend made me anything I knew the name of (sushi, ramen, miso, onigiri). I had salmon and tuna for the onigiri fillings and it was beautiful, each rice ball had a different seasoning too. Also I had a pork dish at the Japanese restaurant but I don't really know what that was exactly.

Tonkatsu? Was that the dish? Pork cutlets?

Unadon used to be my favorite when I used to fish&meats.
