I was browsing google images and came across this one -

Is it really her? =S I'm a new Ai listener and stuff...so don't know much about her...was wondering if this is a childhood photo. If so, then that means she got plastic surgery b/c her eyes and overall facial structure is different. =/

lol I can tell that's Ai. Her eyes actually do look the same...........well.....I can see a similarity. And she's got that same nose and mouth.

I've seen this at different forums too and I believe its her. its not unusual to see some differences in her facial structure...I mean, ppl do change over times~ a lot of my friends look different when they were young compare to now.

I don't know if this is what the video is about, (sorry I'm too scared to watch it...) but they have this glue that you place above your eyelids and you pull the skin up and you can change the shape of your eyes/make them bigger; like it can make them rounder, flatter/etc. (lol that video was so scary I was afraid this one might be the same thing...)

It's true that she's changed a lot. I don't give it too much thought because I know from the beginning that there are many Japanese singers who maybe prettier, cuter etc. than Ai. But they don't have such talent, character etc. as Ai does. Having plastic surgery or not is her problem, and if she had, it turned out to be a successful one.

BTW I've got this from a Thai j-pop forum. This one I'm not quite sure if it's her or not. The name written in Japanese reads like 'Otsuka Ai-chan', so it should be her...
What do you guys think?

@tsumetai
Yeah, that's scary. Does that glue really work? I don't quite believe in it much, cause if it worked then it should have been a hit in the cosmetic market already.
And even if it really works, doing this every day might harm your eyes, doesn't it? Better go and have operation, then.....

I don't find her eyes that big and different from average j-girl's eyes (wearing mascara).Plus, in "Love is born", she keeps her eyes closed while singing Yumekui and there's no trace of that glue on eyelid
Plus, in "himawari" pic her eyes look already big when she was 16/17 y.o. that is before Avex period and also her facial structure is the same..

anyway if were true i'd have a bit less respect for her...

Well I'm not sure if it harms your eyes or how strong it is, but it can be peeled right off your skin afterwards. I don't think even if you close your eyes it can be seen. I can find the link for you guys if you want, but it's kind of creepy...

I concur. Ai isn't the sort of person to dress like that anyway. Giggle But interesting topic though, Ai's younger look is a mystery! Surprised

Yes, that is her. You can tell by comparing it to this photo:

She did have an eyelid-lift. As for the face structure, it just seems like she lost weight. Her nose and mouth are the same...the eyes seem to be the only change.

I hate how eyelid-lifts are made to be such a big deal. Yes, Ai had them. It may have been minor, but she had them...though avex is responsible for enlarging her eyes to a large degree in promo shots and stuff. However, it's not something to be scandalized over because it is VERY common in Asia. My eyes are single-lidded and my parents want me to have an eyelid-lift....

It's harder for Western citizens to understand because of how uncommon it is here. I'm sure it's hard for people in Asia to understand botox and collagen injections. I still love Ai though and think she has an incredible amount of talent regardless. Nod

EDIT: Wow @ the makeup lesson video posted by eyn...that looks amazing yet painful, lol. Oh noes
