A while back, avex had already posted a list of artists that will be appearing in the a-nation'06. a-nation'06 is a summer tour where various avex artists come together to tour around Japan. The concerts usually starts in the afternoon and continue till dark.
This year's confirmed artists include: TRF, Every Little Thing, Hamasaki Ayumi, Koda Kumi, BoA, Otsuka Ai, road of major, Suzuki Ami, Tohoshinki (sp?) and AAA.
On April 10 they announced which artist will be performing on which locations and dates. There are 7 dates with 5 different locations. So far, it's been confirmed that Ai will be performing in 5 location:
July 29, 2006 (Saturday)
Niigata-ken with Every Little Thing, Koda Kumi, Suzuki Ami, Toshoshinki, AAA and more...
doors open: 1:00pm / show starts: 3:00pm / show ends: 8:00pm
August 5, 2006 (Saturday)
Fukuoka-ken with Every Little Thing, Koda Kumi, Suzuki Ami, Toshoshinki, AAA and more...
doors open: 1:00pm / show starts: 3:00pm / show ends: 8:30pm
August 20, 2006 (Sunday)
Hyogo-ken with TRF, Every Little Thing, Hamsaki Ayumi, Koda Kumi, BoA, Suzuki Ami, and more...
doors open: 1:00pm / show starts: 3:00pm / show ends: 8:30pm
August 26, 2006 (Saturday)
Tokyo with Hamasaki Ayumi, Koda Kumi, road of major, Suzuki Ami, Toshoshinki, AAA and more...
doors open: 1:00pm / show starts: 3:00pm / show ends: 8:30pm
August 27, 2006 (Sunday)
Tokyo with TRF, Every Little Thing, Hamasaki Ayumi, Koda Kumi, BoA, Suzuki Ami and more...
doors open: 1:00pm / show starts: 3:00pm / show ends: 8:30pm
*Sorry I wasn't able to translate the stadium for each concert
The artist lists are not set, they'll probably add more artists to each date as we approach summer. If you want to see all (if not the most) artists, you should probably go for the last date in Tokyo (August 27). That's usually where the do the recording for the TV and DVD versions.
I'm looking forward to see Ai perform Frienger in the sun I just hope they'll balance the show out this year, especially on the DVD version. I like Ayu and all, but the 'a' in a-nation is suppose to stand for avex, not Ayumi.

The a-nation '06 tour coincides with the release of Tokyo Friends movie if that release isn't being delayed!! Maybe by then, we'll hear a new single and maybe a full version of Yumekui.
I hope Otsuka gets to sing lots of songs.... She was so cute last year! |

Okay, dumb question for anyone to field. Well more confirmation. Can Ai really play guitar? I mean, in the Sakuranbo PV it looks like she's really playing but I was never 100% sure. Thanks in advance! |

I think she might be able to play a little bit but definitely not well enough to record or play live. I'd assume that being around guitars as much as she is then she would have at least had a go.
She's not actually playing in the Sakuranbo PV. Also in Tokyo Friends she's meant to be playing on stage but she's just strumming out of time with one hand and her other hand is not making any chord shapes at all, sort of what somebody would do if they didn't even know how to play one chord.
I always notice that sort of thing when people are pretending to play in movies or on tv. It's just my over analyzing mind hehe.
I hope that helps. |

I think she did play the guitar in the neko ni fuusen live back in a-nation'05. She wasn't playing the whole song or the main melody, but she was certainly playing a few cords here and there. |

You know, I think for all the performances at music shows like Music Fighter and stuff, the band isn't playing at all. The BG music is the same as the CD, and in Frienger, all the band has to stop and do the "FIGHT" bit, yet the music still plays and sounds unharmed. xP |
