yeah pretty much.
though, the sad part is i cant ifnd to many songs i like.
but the ones i do like are really good, so far i like 8.i havent listened to all her songs (she has like 36 singles dammit!) so im still trying to find ones i like. (though at the mo' im listening to secret) |

haha. My friend loves kumi, I can't stand her... the way she presents herself just has a negative effect on me, sort of makes me think "you disgust me!" hahaha. |

same here. the first songs by koda kumi i heard was "real emotions" and "1000 words" from Final Fantasy X-2, and later "cutey honey" from re: cutey honey. and i liked those songs pretty much.  but then i watched the PV for "cutey honey"......  and, well... i didn't really like what i saw.  eeuch... |

What's to be gained by comparing and bashing other artists?
I hate this thread. All it seems to be is an excuse to let people bash Kumi. You don't have to like the way she's marketed herself, or her image, or whatever, but you need to take into account the fact that it's just an image. She's been proven to be a totally different person in real life than the image she projects.
I'm not saying you have to like her or her music. I'm just asking you to give her a break. There do happen to be fans of hers around here. |

| I agree completely your attitude. Koda is very popular, no matter anyone in this forum likes her or not. Probably many people in Japan don't like Otsuka so much either, no matter because we do. This thread truly says bad things about us. |

Cutie Honey.
I've seen the PV, I liked her long hair with the pink extension but when it came to the dancing bit where she looked different, I was kind of seeing two different people. 
Real Emotion and 1000 Words were the first Kumi songs I've heard since I'm a FFX/X-2 fan. Really nice and I reckon Kumi should've been chosen for the English versions for the X-2 game.
I don't like this thread at all. From the very start I've been trying to tell everyone this isn't right to bash other artists, there are other people who like Kumi or Ai as well. For example, Tatsuka likes Kumi more than Ai, I respect that. I like Ai more than Kumi but I still respect them both as artists. Do you think we should lock this thread before other members start badmouthing Ai or Kumi? |

seriously? hong kong paparazzi? dont believe a thing they write unless it is confirmed by the person they are stalking, haha. they will dig in trash cans, go through dumpsters and the whole nine yards to find a speck of dust to write about and exaggerate to the fullest.
also, you cant really blame koda kumi for what she does...its kind of a marketing gimic put out by avex, you know? and she just follows by it and many guys love it, so hey, popularity comes and goes like that. |

I can't believe this thread is still alive!
You guys should know that HK news is always rumors&gossip...unless you actually see it.
You can't really believe what they say, HKs news media...are REALLY noisy, they do w.e. to get juicy info...and maybe twist it!
I'm not a big fan of Koda, I don't like how she has this "twin". Cause in one MV she's the nice girl, then the next minute...she's miss naughty SEXYYLICIOUS.
For example, in Juicy, it's like whoaaaaa! I like the song, but some parts in the MV really......
I don't see why she needs to degrate herself to something like that....She can still be a great singer even with out revealing her body, and dancing like that...on those men...
And in Cherry Girl MV....seeing her lick that stick like that...*shivers* or was it some other MV from her...?

and why are the two even being compared. different genres of music and needless to say: ones smoking hot and ones smoking cute. >_> |

| heehee Otsuka Ai looked so cute sitting there, avoiding Koda Kumi's eyes. But I agree with eyn all the way. If they don't look at each other then most likely they do not know each other. And maybe it's not so much jealousy as rather competition? Considering they are all up against each other in terms of popularity and sales, that would be a more realistic approach to this alleged "jealousy" |
