Ayumi's rivial is bck again. (don't knw Ayumi's rivial english name nor do i have a chinese keyboard thingy). She had stop singin' for 5 years because of the Sony contract confirmation which had lead them to court. Ayumi has always been the j-pop but now Ayumi's enemy is bck. Will she still be the j-pop queen? (Since her fans are support her rivial.)

Concert:
The avex company is opening 7 concerts with Ayumi, Ayumi's rivial, Ai Otsuka, Hitomi, Every Little Thing, Do As Infinty, Road of Major, and other popular female artists. Over 15 thousand fans will be attending this concert and fans are eager to buy tickets to watch this event. Ai Otsuka, who is consider one of the best new female artist. The avex company always had chose her to participate in this concert.

My Opinion:
I haven't listen to any of Ayumi's rivial songs. (Because, I started listening to japanese songs 3 or 2 years ago.) Since, Ayumi is so good I think this woman will be good, too. But, I will still continue supporting Ayumi no matter what.

P.S Please do not blame me. If some of my facts are incorrect because I asked my aunt to translate this for me. Also, because i have a bad memory. The rival i'm talkin' about isn't AI.

To answer the question, the rival mentioned in the article is Suzuki Ami (鈴木亜美). I'm don't have much information about this girl but I do heard about her few years ago.

According to this article, Ayumi Hamasaki and Suzuki Ami debut at about the same period. They have been rivals ever since, until Suzuki Ami having a contract problem with her previous company, Sony, which resulted in her "quarantine" for a few years. During this period Ayu has quickly risen as the new Jpop queen.

Suzuki Ami is now under avex and she will be performing in the upcoming a-nation 2005 performances as well. According to the article (might be rumours), Ayu was upset by this fact and tried to prevent Ami from taking part in the event but seems like her participation is guaranteed at the moment.

oh. i kinda had a hunch that was who it was. But there's so many "jpop queens" out there, it's hard to tell.

to me, Ayu trumps Ami. i DESPISED her comeback single (can't rember the name). So cheers Ayu....between you and Ami...i crown you queen. (Of course Ai gets the official AVEX crown) Wink

I don't think Ami can replace Ayu. Plus it seems Avex have sorted her out in the generic dance + pop scene which will get her popular but not ultra popular as Ayu is. Right now I do not think any singer can replace Hamasaki even if she has been releasing less material it is easy to see that she tops off the charts and stays in the charts for weeks. So yeah I think Ami has a long way to go before she can beat Ayu if she ever will..

Ami Suzuki was big at her time, but now its over. Artist like her can't leave and expect to come back and blow up. Namie Amuro is a perfect example. Namie had Japan in her hand, and was 10 times bigger than Ayumi could had ever been at her time in 1995-1998. When Namie took her hiatus and came back Ayumi was blowing up, and so was Ami, Hitomi, Morning Musume, and Shiina Ringo. Why Ayumi continues to stay on top, because she doesn't take breaks for another artist to come sneek in and take her place. Have you noticed Ayumi releases 2 or more things a year just to keep her name flowing. Its too late for Ami you take Ayu's place, she waited to long, and after her new album comes out she might be old news. If artist like BoA, Ai Otsuka, and Mika Nakashima can't take Ayumi's spot, what make some old come back like Ami think she can take Ayumi's spot. I'm not a Ayumi fan, I would love for someone to come and knock her off the scene, but it ain't happening no time soon.

I heard that Ayumi's having a hard time now but it's not the fact that anyone can replace her place. In fact, no one can replace others place. Ami can be famous, have more and more fans. BUT if she can make an Ayufan become her fan and forget about AYU .... then I say Ami replace AYU's place Laughing

Btw, I like both Ayu and Ami
Just know Ami's music under avex's releases. Delightful and Eventful are my favourite songs of her Love

Actually Ai's gonna be the next Pop Queen

And her fans are gonna be reduced to her bunnies...

Actually i think Ai can take over Ayu

But her songs are so CUTE!
And a Cute Jpop Queen sounds wierd...

but still i think Ami wont win... Dont cut it.

EDIT:
And even if she does beat Ayu

She cant beat Ai!!!!!!!!!

*CHEERS*
