A big hit for some sites.... dreamhost has been acting weird deleting files of some jpop sites [ the direct downloads ones ]
Any idea of cheap hosting ?... more den 20GB of space ... the cheapest currently is dreamhost since i can easily get $97 discount on any plans.... I know of servage too [ dont think its that great either even tho most animesites uses them... ]
i dont really need alot of features since i use it for hosting only files, main site will be hosted by my friend... so most important thing is they dont delete my files + scamming my money  [ after getting scam by 1 site !!! my money + files + time is wasted ...im really getting pissed by paid hosters.. ]
Alot would say go for dedicated.. its not really easy for me to go dedicated since im a poor student !! BTW just wondering, which host are you in now channel-ai ? |

Umm have you tried Surpass Hosting? Right now they have a buy one plan get one free sale going on, they are originally really cheap, now it's cheaper~ Many of my friends are hosted there and none of them had any problems. I've heard many good things about the place. I'm not sure about illegal mp3 hosting though. o_o; You never know.
You can always set up your computer as a server and host your site there. That way no one can delete anything but you.  |

well thats a good thing but my upload speed is extremely slow.... + im not allow to on my computer 24/7 !! lol
surpass host is paid yearly... so its $165 !! lol... i dont have that much to start with, not sure but alot of hosters hate people who share LOL |

hmmm I'm hosted by Dreamhost, but mostly because my friend hosts me on his account there. I'm not sure about alternatives as it's basically trying to find someone who doesn't notice you hosting copyright material. I could recommend cheap options, but not necessarily effective for hosting music

Channel-Ai is hosted by Dreamhost, and I'm quite satisfied with their service. The support isn't all that helpful as the reply they gave me is kinda lame sometimes, but they do reply and sound quite friendly. The hosting cost is probably the cheapest you can get for tons of storage and bandwidth. Well, 1TB of bandwidth is way more than enough, unless you are hosting a very popular direct download site.
If anyone of you do decide to use Dreamhost without using any special promo code or anything, please use this link to register. Channel-Ai will get some commission from the money you paid to Dreamhost, just like how YesAsia associate thing works. 
I believe Dreamhost isn't too strict about what file you host as long as nobody sues you or anything.  Channel-Ai is safe so far, so you shouldn't worry too much about it. |

yup they arent strict but they nags about the over usage of the cpu min ? Eyn you dont have donation box or anything, will donate after reciving the damn payment from some people =(
well but anime sites are dangerous, i got my old site crash LOL.... |

I would like a paid hosting, and DreamHost looks pretty good. Can you eyn say that are there going to be major problems with installing XMB-forum to DreamHost? x_x; But currently I can't buy anything, since I'm saving money for my own Apple computer (I gotta get it this time!  )... Except I gotta get the new Kuu-stuff coming at July But yeah, the only thing I'm worried about is the install, since I have alwys major problems installing forums to hosters xDD And yeah, if I decide to, I'll use that link.. |

hmmm for me wont try uploading any forums to dreamhost or any cheap hosters, cos they'll tend to cause alot of trouble + their support might be lame LOL like eyn said

It would probably be for Kuu (I know there's HONEY FLASH and others but I would like to have my own). It probably would not have any music/video downloads, only pics and links to YouTube.
And of course I'm getting the new single, songs sound nice and I gotta have every Kuu-single that is being released XD |

call me in when you get the site up, cos mine would be hmmm jpop,jdrama [ if i get some of them ] and anime LOL.... alot i guess....i cant have the singles [ tho i might buy this time round cos its quadple A sided single.... anyway any news of her album ? Hopes Ai have one too this year

I'm doing a compare abt hosting too
I come up with 1and1 and decided to use it but then I think bluehost is better for hosting files, since bluehost has hot link protection features, so you can prevent other site hotlink your files without permission |

i do have a problem paying 1 year full payment to bluehost
you can actually banned sites or prevent it via cpanel actually [ or actually allow it only at your site !! ]....Thinking about host are always a bad thing, makes me grow white hairs LOL. |

| usually to have free set up fee host providers ask you paid annually or semi annually. Then you should consider 1and1. It only ask to pay semi annually which is 30$. these hosts provider a hug storage, others very limit in storage, you can go to Hosting Review to see yourself |

Hmm... I'm soon *probably* going to get a hosting from DreamHost I'll use the link  I think that DreamHost is a pretty good one, since it's only $10 a month and 20 GB space and 1 TB transfer @_@ I'll do a site & a forum there. Wow, my first paid hosting coming up  Too bad I can't get a .co.jp one from DreamHost..  |
