| Out of those I've still only seen Ring. I really love the third Ring film but as more of a drama than a horror film. I'm not really a horror fan but I do prefer the Asian horror films over Hollywood ones. So far I've seen Dark Water, Phone, The Eye, Infection, Shutter, Ring trilogy. Dark Water gave me the biggest fright out of those. |

I seen them all but my fav. is not from this list, its named Kaïro (also known as Pulse, although a more accurate translation is Circuit. Its directed by Kiyoshi Kurosawa it
was released in 2001 and was one the most anticipated films among J-horror fans.
And so on...great movie!! so is also ringu series (ring dasuday aka zero) 1,2,3 etc...
i dont like hollyboo i mean hollywood....remakes they just rip money out of the original japanese versions. Takashi Miikes Chakusin Ari, was not a bad movie, if we thing that he is not a horror movie director but he is still talented one of those directors that i respect in japanese movie industry after Takashi Ishii and Kinji Fukasaku. |

Wow someone else likes Kairo too ! I really like that movie!
That's an interesting list of movies that are on the poll...I've seen all of them and Shikoku is the worst one in my opinion, I actually thought some parts were funny . However Kakashi is the all-time worst to me though (it's not on the list). People have probably seen this already but I would like to recommend the Tomie movies, they're pretty straight-forward but interesting . |

I think my favorite is Chakushin Ari coz it's not TOO scary and coz I love Kou Shibasaki ^-^
when I was in a video shop in milan...
I saw that on Ju-on II moive's box there's written that there's a Suitei Shoujo's song in the movie.
Is it right? which song is it? I've never heard it... |

| Ju-On is the grudge? Haha, I never knew that, I watched it in like fourth grade, the first time I saw it I was pretty scared, and then I watched it again the next day and I couldn't stop laughing at it!! Well, I haven't seen the other ones but Chakushi Ari seems pretty interesting, and I'm going to my friends house sometime to watch Jisatsu Circle, but I don't know what that one's about. I've also watched Sky High (Lol, the Japanese one not American) but it was pretty funny to me because of how the hearts looked (their props). And I've watched a few more but I seem not to remember right now.... |

Yeah Chakushin Ari is pretty good; though I don't know what Hollywood intends to do with it, it's not like any of their remakes are good IMO. I would definitely recommend watching it.
Well Jisatsu Circle literally translates into "Suicide Circle." I've seen a movie called "Suicide Club" before, and it's the same one you're talking about - I did some research just now.
If you want to have a general idea what it's about, take the meaning of the title literally.
By the way, though lacking in great story, it is both entertaining and interesting. |

I would have to say The Ring. It's the first Japanese horror movie I've seen, and it's just a classic, no doubt. As like many people, I couldn't walk near the television set in the dark.
The Grudge was really freaky as well... I watched the Japanese film as well as the American adaptation.... very scary.... but The Ring is just that little bit better, |

| Yes, I know about Suicide Club, too. My sister has it on DVD but I just never watched it, so I'm going to my friend's house to watch Suicide Circle, but I do not if they are different. |

Oh, okay. I hope none of my friends finds out or else they'll want me to find that DVD but I don't know where my sister keeps her DVDs, well, maybe it's with dramas but then there's too many to search through... And I'm clumsy so I don't like to borrow people's DVDs or CDs because I don't want them to get scratched or who knows what else can happen...
Well, I'm guessing then that Jisatsu Circle is the original version and Suicide club is overseas. |

Yeah borrowing things like that is such a hassle. I remember my sister's friends once borrowed some of our DVD's, and they were returned......about 7 months later. But if you just keep the CD or DVD in an empty CD case or something I'm sure it wouldn't get damaged hopefully.
Yes you're correct about the Jisatsu Circle=original / Suicide Club=overseas. I'm living in America right now and we can only watch all of those J-horror movies and such through our local video rental store, so I only knew about the title Suicide Club. When you mentioned Jisatsu Circle I was almost positive that it was the same movie. Now that I've heard both titles, I prefer the original title over the overseas version. I'm not so sure why....both pretty much mean the same thing....I guess it's because "Suicide Club" makes it sound a little too light-hearted. |

Haha, I know what you mean about the hassle... I let my friend borrow a miyavi and love for nana cd once and she said she'd just listen to it over the weekend and it didn't come back until like 2-3 weeks, haha.
Well, actually I don't like borrowing cds or dvds because everytime I take one from a case I think I'm going to snap it in half... so everytime I get a CD, I only take it out once and I make it into mp3 format (for player) and then I never take it out of the case again. |

Ju-On (the grudge) (I've voted for this one)
Chakushin Ari (one missed call)
But Bushinshaba (Korean) is good too!
Or... erm... Dark Water! |
