For summer season I've been watching 'My Boss, My Hero' and 'Taiyou no Uta'. I love the theme for 'Taiyou no Uta', although the story sometimes winds and twists too much to become similar to a soap opera which isn't exactly interesting sometimes. It feels to conicidental but it's still enjoyable.
'My Boss, My Hero' is definately more entertaining. Tomoya Nagase pulls off his part with so much accuracy and humour that you'll be laughing so much every single episode. His acting is so exxagerated, rough and childish that it's really amusing watching a grown man fitting in with high school students. Personally one of the most enjoyable doramas for this summer. |

I've heard that Taiyou no Uta is rather popular. Didn't quite hear about the rest though. Interesting introduction!! I'll probably buy the Taiyou no Uta DVD to watch it!  |

Okay, of course I watched TV series Taiyou no uta, it was a very good series, and much different from movie because much longer and more time for additional interaction with characters. For example, character of Kouji and Misaki and Kaoru's parents are very interesting. Especially character of Kouji is more complicated, relationship with additional singer Asami etc.
Sawajiri is very fine actress, she can show emotions in facial expressions, voice, gesture, she makes Kauro become a real person. Anyway Sawajiri herself has much experience of death of people close to her, father died from cancer when she was in junior high school and brother died in car crash soon after that.
Please watch this TV series! I became very cry each time seeing these chapters but I liked this show very much!

Yes, Im currently watching this series. Its very good. Shes a great actress.  |
