I have a question... did all her singles come with a picture book as a first press item? The only ones I can find info about are
Momo No Hanabira
Amaenbo
Kingyo Hanabi
Daisuki Da Yo
Planetarium
Which all came with a book.
I know all her albums came with books.
Also are any of these available standard in the overseas version?
I know I'll probably never be able to track these books down but I'd like to know
Thanks in advance. |

First of all, welcome to the forum! Don't forget to introduce yourself here.
There was another thread similar to this a while ago, but didn't seem to go anywhere... Probably because it would take a lot of time to take and upload pics of *everything*...
As for just what was available:
Picture (drawings) book:
Momo no Hanabira
Sakuranbo (Encore Press--not sure about the original)
Amaenbo
Happy Days
Kingyo Hanabi
Daisuki dayo.
LOVE PUNCH
LOVE JAM
LOVE COOK (one version, another version came with a Photobook)
Stickers:
Kuroge...
SMILY/Biidama
Neko ni Fuusen was a digipak (like Yumekui is rumored to be... ). Planetarium did *not* include a picture book, but was housed in a special jewel case. Son_of_Sun was kind enough to upload photos of this beautiful bonus packaging here.
Frienger was a bit disappointing in my opinion, as the bonus was only different obi colored like the Friengers (unless I've been missing something this whole time--anyone willing to correct me? ).
Many of the above add-ons can be found scanned to some degree in the Channel-Ai Gallery, which is chock full of wonderful items lovingly uploaded by members.
Please look around and explore the forum more. It's a wonderful haven full of friendly people and delightful tidbits and opinions concerning Otsuka Ai. Looking forward to your future contributions! |

Definitely not. The special packaging is first press for Japanese version, and has sold out long long time ago. You may be lucky to find it on evay though.
Also, overseas versions of singles don't have first presses 99% of the time.
@DJ Neo XL
There is already a thread about this.
Existing thread about First Press Bonuses
I know it's dead right now, but if you want to ask anything about first presses or anything else in the future for that matter, please search if the same topic has ever been made before with the "Search" function. Duplicate topics like these are considered spam. Welcome to the forum by the way. |

I've actually been reading past post for a couple days now and learned a great deal about Ai, I must have just missed the other thread on the subject (sorry about that.)
And yeah I checked out the great user gallery last night, it had sooo many wonderful pictures.
I'm going over to the Newbie area and introduce myself right now.
Thanks a lot for the info. |

| When I went to the Kinokuniya bookstore in NYC I was lucky enough to get the Neko ni Fuusen digipack, I didn't even realize it was limited at the time ^____^! |

| If you mean overseas version as they ship the Japanese version to where you are, then it might have it. Usually I buy Hirakawachi Icchoume singles a few days after they come out from the Japanese book store here and I've managed to get a first press edition once. |

| We have Kinokuniya where I am, too, and ours sells original Japan version (of current artists),except for like disbanded bands like MALICE MIZER it sells re-prints since you can only get the original ones from used cd stores in Japan. |

| Considering that the overseas version is generally identical to the standard Japanese version (except a written disclaimer on the back saying 'this cannot be sold in Japan'), I would assume that the overseas version would just be the cover picture in the gallery for Planetarium in a standard single jewel case. |

| I would think it's the same as Ayumi's for singles. All CD+DVD versions of singles are like the same size most of the time, especially so since Ayumi and Ai-chin are both from Avex. |

| Hmm, well, from my Kinokuniya, they sell Japanese versions. Usually overseas is only for like the ones they sell in Asia that's not Japan or they make another version so they can sell it for cheaper. I don't get what you mean saying it's overseas though from Kinokuniya. Kinokuniya sells original Japanese edition cds. |
