Sorry for sort of reviving a dead-ish topic, but...
I really like the movies, and I noticed noone has made a topic for the most recent one ("At world's end"), and I'm actually a little bit scared of making new topics now-days (having made so many stupid ones which got deleted in a few hours).
So, I thought I might as well say something about them here.
Yes, I've seen all three and I love them!
"generic" is not quite how I would describe them, especially after watching the third one. Its more like "surreal", where the 'universe' of the movies assumes that the myths and legends during those times are actually true (such as the world being flat for instance). It all fits in so nicely, its almost like a dream.
Seeing all those (Captain) Jack Sparrow's was quite a laugh
In my opinion:
"Curse of the black pearl" was the 'scariest'
"Dead Man's chest" was the most 'action packed'
"At World's End" was the most... thought provoking?
Will there be any more? I really hope so
