Here are the translations of the profiles that eyn kindly uploaded into the Tokyo Friends Movie gallery.
I'm sorry to say that I have not seen Tokyo Friends, so I know absolutely nothing about these characters. I'm telling you this because my translations may contain errors, and I, of course, don't know whether what I wrote is true or not.
If something isn't right, please tell me, and I will correct it in any way I can.

*Credit goes to Celsius005. I thank Aprilis. for helping me with the names, eyn for uploading these into the gallery, and of course zyzzyva for suggesting this idea.*

Tokyo Friends Character Profiles:

Iwatsuki Rei, 23 (Otsuka Ai)
She came to Tokyo from a small town in Kochi and lives with her friend. She works part-time in a pub called “Yume no Kura,” where she meets a guitarist named Ryuuji who tells her that, “He likes her voice.” Because of this, he asks her to become the vocalist of the band “Survival Company.” A relationship develops between the two….

Hayama Hirono, 21 (Matsumoto Rio)
In high school, she admired Kenichi and hoped to someday act on the same stage with him. She came to Tokyo in order to fulfill this dream. She works at the pub “Yume no Kura,” and also works as screenplay writer for Kenichi’s group. No matter how hard she works though, she cannot seem to get Kenichi’s attention….

Fujiki Ryoko, 26 (Maki Yoko)
She used to get drunk quite often at “Yume no Kura” with high hopes of marrying a rich man someday. Now she works as an office lady, but in reality she still longs over memories of her past lover. She married Keitaro, a banker, and also the younger brother of the manager who works at “Yume no Kura.” Before his proposal, Keitaro quits his job as a banker. Ryoko is fired from her job as an office lady and decides to work at "Yume no Kura."

Abiko Maki, 21(Kobayashi Mao)
She works at “Yume no Kura” and also attends an art college, hoping to become an artist someday. She brings artwork to the menus at “Yume no Kura.” Her dream is to someday travel to New York to study art there. Though she seems quiet, she is very strong-willed.

Shintani Ryuuji, 25 (Eita)
At first glance you may see him as an easy-going guy, but in reality he has a deep passion for music and a knack for playing guitar. Though he pleaded Rei to join Sabakan, he chose to exceed, thus he joined “Flower Childs.” Right before their major debut, something happened and he disappeared before Rei’s eyes.

Tanaka Hidetoshi, 23 (Hiraoka Yuuta)
He is a guitarist and a member of Sabakan. His nickname is Hide. Hide admires Ryuuji’s abilities in guitar, but at the same time he is jealous.

Okuda Takayuki, 26 (Ito Takashi)
He is the leader of Sabakan and plays the drums. He is the eldest member and acts as a very responsible band leader.

Nagase Mitsuo, 25 (Nakamura Shunta)
He is the bass player in Sabakan. Because he works at “Yume no Kura,” the band members choose that place as their usual meeting spot. He is very understanding of both Rei and Ryuuji.

Satomi Kenichi, 22 (Sato Ryuta)
Back in high school, he played the part of Romeo in the play “Romeo and Juliet.” It was this specific performance when Hirono began to admire Kenichi. He arrived in Tokyo and formed his own group, the “Gekidan Shiro Tights.”

Kohashi Ryo, 35 (Sasaki Kuranosuke)
He used to be the enigma at Tokyo Bay, but he actually owns an art gallery in New York where he runs an art business. Seeing Maki’s remarkable artistic talents, he invited her over to New York.

Sasakawa Keitaro, 29 (Kitamura Ikki)
He is the younger brother of the owner of “Yume no Kura.” He attended a very good college and became an elite banker. He grew tired of his occupation as a salary man, so he quit and became head of “Yume no Kura.” Even before his marriage with Ryoko, he is somewhat of a follower while she leads.

Sasakawa Kazuo, 36 (Katsumura Masanobu)
The first owner of “Yume no Kura.” His dream was to someday own a French restaurant, but ever since he left his younger brother Keitaro with “Yume no Kura,” he could only manage to open a Ramen stand. He is not as strong as most people.

Wada Takeshi, 39 (Furuta Shinta)
He is the boss and director of the “Oyster Record” company, which looks very tattered in appearance. Back then he used to be a master of guitar. He is both kind and strict with Sabakan, and he does all he can to help them with their major debut.

There's acutally a wiki page for Tokyo Friends and they have most (if not all) the characters listed out like the way you want to.

Tokyo Friends - Drama Wiki

The translation should be correct. But since it's wiki and any one can edit them, it's probably best if you double check.

Thank you very much Aprilis.! :>
I completely forgot that Wikipedia had a separate Drama section.... Embarassed
Also I *totally* screwed up the majority of the names, how embarassing. Embarassed Thank you!

The profiles are now finished!

I only hope that I'm not too far off, but I know that something has to be wrong. No
Any corrections will be very much appreciated! I'll post a link in the original Tokyo Friends thread.

All this time I read Iwatsuki as Iwaki and Ryuuji as Takashi. I made a *lot* of mistakes in their names..... Shifty
Wow, I feel both awkward and stupid. Then again, Ryuuji can also be read as Takashi so I wouldn't have known anyway.

nice! thanks Celcius05

I don't know if they change the profiles of characters a bit to fit the movie or what but there are some differs in your translation with what I watched in the drama.

Character 2: Hayama Hirono, 21 (Matsumoto Rio)
No matter how hard she works though, she cannot seem to get Kenichi’s attention…. <-- Kenichi asked Hirono to edit his play and asked her to play a role in it, so this's not true for the drama, but from the movie trailer I see them quite apart then this is true^^

Character 3: Fujiki Ryoko, 26 (Maki Yoko)
After their wedding, Keitaro quits his job as a banker, and she starts to work at “Yume no Kura”…. <-- Ryoko's fired from office job, she decide to take a break and works as Yume no Kura. Keitaro quit his bank job before he propose to Ryoko to marry him

Character 5: Shintani Ryuuji, 25 (Eita)
After their major debut, something happened and he disappeared before Rei’s eyes. <--- The night before the day of his debut, his group's member(s)' drunk and fought with somone, the company's cancelled the release.

The profile didn't really mean that she was being completely ignored, it was talking about more of a *love-interest* kind of attention. I'm not so sure whether these two characters are supposed to be together or not, but it was saying that HIrono "isn't getting the attention she deserves" or something like that. Like I said, these were very general and they didn't offer much specific information. Embarassed

Thank you very much yangirl for fixing some errors!
I didn't include the specifics about Ryuuji that you mentioned only because it's not written in his profile.
It leaves off at sort of a cliff-hanger. Tongue

Haha. Well, it would've been cool if his name was Ryuuji, since Ryuuji is the vocalist of one of my favorite visual rock bands, Soroban. Haha, I have to look at the profiles, during the whole drama I didn't pay attention to anything they said and simply watched the moving pictures, lol. And I stopped watching it after a while since that guy with the big hair (sorry I don't know his name) annoyed me, lol. But I liked their drummer since he seemed like a cool character.

Confused Giggle
Um... The "Guy with the Big Hair" *is* named Ryuuji... Laughing

Wow, as always, Celsius005! Love
I think these'll be great for enticing new fans to watch the series.
I'm still amazed you graciously agreed to do these not having seen the show yourself.
I'm the complete opposite--I love not knowing a single thing about a show/movie going in. Having loved mysteries ever since I was little, I've gotten really good at decifering plot lines/predicting twists & outcomes, so knowing nothing ahead of time gives the movie a 'head start' and makes me less bored. [M. Night Shyamalan's films are interesting, but much to my dismay/disappointment, I figured out the endings long before they arrived... argh. Mad ]

I'm not sure where eyn found these, but they seem like primers for the movie. I was surprised how much info they gave away in some of the bios of the goings on in the series...
yangirl was right in her corrections, but I think that whoever wrote these was trying to make them 'short and sweet' and not getting into too many complicated sticky details... Just quick blurbs that carried the main points for each character, hence the small discrepancies.

Perhaps we can post them as 'comments' in the respective gallery pic pages... [If you're too busy, I can do it later (with credit to you, of course Nod ).]

Thank you again, Celsius005!
Excellent, clear work per usual. Love

Thank you zyzzyva! Love
I don't know if this is where eyn found them, but I tracked them down at the Official Tokyo Friends Movie website, which eyn also gave a link to in the first page of the Tokyo Friends Movie thread here in the forum.
I'd rather go into a movie or show without knowing anything as well, but helping out is a different story. Besides, I can't watch any episodes while I'm sharing the same computer with the rest of my family, and it will be years until I get my own computer. Embarassed

Posting them as comments in the gallery?
I didn't think about that....once again a great idea coming from you. Aww, thanks! But I can do it! Love
You're very much welcome!

btw....this is completely irrelevent, but I don't like M. Night Shyamalan's films that much either. Indeed they were interesting, but they were...how do I say it, empty to me? Especially The Village, you didn't have to think about anything! Just sit there and watch it go by....and that's it. Shifty

Yeah, sharing a computer can be a pain... No
Perhaps you could download one episode at a time and watch sections at a time...?
Impress upon your parents that Ai is good for the soul. Giggle And it is a *much* cheaper alternative to buying the over-$200 DVD set... Nod

Glad you liked the idea about the gallery comment section... I wanted to offer since I worry about you being taken advantage of. I hope you do understand we appreciate (not expect) your hard work. Wink Love

I quite liked The Sixth Sense, though like many other movies, feel the hype and endless parodies kinda put a damper on it... [That one in particular I wished I hadn't figured out the twist ending...] I think it is the best of his films and wonderfully cast. Lady in the Water is very different from his other works, and rather interesting--needed more editing, but still pretty enjoyable [much more so than Unbreakable, Signs, or The Village...]

Indeed, a *much* cheaper alternative. Giggle
I try not to flood the family computer with my own personal things, otherwise it wouldn't be fair to the rest of my family. My mother don't know how to use anything except the internet, and my father has his important work files in this computer, so I have to keep things under control, even if it means not being able to download anything. Embarassed

I already went through with your idea. They can be found in the gallery now. [It was a great idea!]
Taken advantage of? Aww, it's nothing like that! After all, I'm the one who volunteered to do it.
Thank you so much for your offer though! You're very considerate, and I'm very grateful! Love Love
A simple concept: I help out because I want to, without regrets.
This is a good opportunity for me to learn and practice. Wink

I'm not a big fan of watching movies I guess... I'm too attached to older ones like Charlie Chaplin and A Patch of Blue. I'm not really into romance, but A Patch of Blue is the only exception for me, I suppose.

Hmmm... kind of looking forward to Tokyo Friends movie... though I'll have to re-watch the series beforehand. It has been ages since I last watched it.

@ Celsius
If you want to watch Tokyo Friends without downloading it, I am sure that someone has put it on either an internet stream or a site like Youtube... that's always a good place to find jdorama. Smile
