yukarichan, I'm not too sure what problem you might be having there, first of all what browser are you using? If it's IE, then it sorta works, you just need to keep clicking until it plays. Tongue If it's Firefox, it works nicely, same to Opera. Smile

It's also possible that your flash version are outdated and you might need to upgrade to the latest flash player before the mp3 flash player will work for you. Nod

btw, glad to know you found the hidden header! Boogie

And for broken::dreams, what can I say, you're probably the only one here using a mac and it's impossible for me right now to test compatibility with Safari. You know, they should have done a better job on Safari by making it more compatible with other browsers so web developers don't need to change their code just to make it work in Safari. No

The new emoticons you saw have their own announcement post and you should be able to get more information there. fyi, they are proudly called the "Tardmotes". :B

Oh, I like it! It gives me a warm fuzzy feeling Giggle Great job as usual, eyn. *thumbs up* Although I think I still prefer the Frienger layout. Give me a few days and I'll come around ^^. I love how the background looks like fabric - you can see the weave!~~~ And the header idea is ingenious. I refreshed the page four times and then got a surprise XD So cute. Thank you!

AHA!

The hidden header image.

I see you changed things around a bit eyn, hmm, it's gotten a lot better. The number members in the chat room next to the chat button... brilliant idea, everytime i've been in there, i've been on my own and i've waited long times in there for other to show up but no luck... hopefully this will make things more active.

lol, the little play button on the header is genius. you should do that for all the single based themes like planitarium, neko ni fuusen, love cook (i know its album but there's a song called love cook in it), and my fav biidama (and smily if you must Wink )

good stuff.

oh and yeah, make the signatures thinner as opposed to smaller, if you set a dimension restriction where the banners aren't any taller than say 120px, it should all be fine. you could be more dictatorial and say ALL signatures must be say 120x445 px to make sure you have more uniformity... but i dunno about that idea... stick with your plan mate Laughing

I love the new style, Eyn~ Meow I haven't visited for quite a few days and look at the nice surprise! :> I was getting tired of the old forum styles, thank god. Tongue Umm I don't know what to say, I always say the same thing anyways, lol. It's very relaxing and new, and very convenient to use after the first 5 seconds to get used to it; good jobbb. x3

I wish you would put all the emotions in the top panel though. Now that it isn't at the side of the text area, the top space is big it looks rather empty and incomplete even though we have other smilies to fill the space; and it's inconvenient to have to click for other emotions. But maybe changing that would affect other styles as well? If it's too much trouble don't bother. Oh noes It's just me being lazy. -.-;

Yay, I saw the hidden image too with the boy and that anteater animal thingy!

When I came here a few days ago I didn't realise this forum style was set on default, and I kept trying to change the style until I finally gave up :E After reading the previous posts only did I understand why Laughing

I really like the 'play' button on the header, although it stops when you go to another page. But I guess that can't be helped. I would also prefer if the page column was made a bit wider though. Prevents the page from getting too long.

eyn, thumb's up 4 you...The layout is in its own ways a very minimalictic,
it doesnt take much space from the screen and further more it's very pleasing and
smooth looking. This is way better then the frienger themed layout back in the days.
The flash thing [now im talking about the button, up in the corner]
which you press and it start's to play [yumekui it is a Fantatic Idea/nice add to the whole forum community. Thank You eyn.

I believe you can surf Channel-Ai on a mobile phone quite nicely, but in the end it depends on what browser you're using. I tried using the Opera Mini demo to surf Channel-Ai and it works, even the Javascript menu works nicely in this browser.

For the width of this forum style, I guess it will have to stay this way because I'm too lazy to resize the header image, table background, menu background etc. for a new width. The width of this forum style is probably one of the thing that makes it stands out from the rest, and my idea here is to let you have a breath of fresh air when you wanted something different after using those classic style for a long long time.

For usability, I bet table-based layout such as NoseBleed makes it easy to scan through topic titles since they are all in the same column, but maybe just once in a while you would like to have a special style like this to make your life a little bit different. And I guess that's the ultimate purpose of having a variety of forum style. Meow

I really like this forum layout because it's different. And I love how you can play the song. That's so awesome. But yea I think the other ones are nice too because they are a bit simpler and are easier to navigate and such. ^-^

Yay, I pressed the play button on the header image and tears started playing! It makes me wonder if it's randomized or whether it has something to do with getting the rare header. Either way, this is really great! You already know... well, maybe... that this song leaves me in tears whenever I listen to it. Shifty

Anyway, I had the same exact thoughts as horizon180 about having a play button for the other layouts, well, at least the ones that are song-themed. That would definitely give another option for people here to listen to Ai's songs while browsing the forum, as it might change the pace around here. The songs will be rather short when considering that going on a different page will stop the song, but that's why I open a separate tab that remains on the Index constantly while the other tab I use for browsing and such. This sure has become a comfortable place to be in. Love

I remember when I was "decorating" my post of the Excite Music Yumekui interview, I thought it was inconvenient to have the bold/italics/underline option stuff to be in a hidden tab only because I'm used to highlighting the text and then clicking on the buttons to place the BBCode things for me. It isn't so much of an issue for me anymore because now I just put the codes in manually (after all of the "practice" from decorating the interview). Heh, not a problem anymore!
I only had myself to blame for that because I spend a lot of time on each post making sure it looks nice. I don't know how many times I clicked the Preview button while writing this post. Embarassed

EDIT: You having fun there, eyn? Haha, I just watched as the "+" became "Expand" and then into a heart. Lots of experimentation there, and I find this feature quite useful and convenient since I don't have to select Menu and then Information to open the whole window. Did you change it again!? Now I see a cross! Surprised

I am officially used to this layout!
Before I thought the Frienger layout was the best, but when I logged on today the Frienger layout was on cause I used that one before the Yumekui layout. And it seemed so weird! lol

Ha, nice to know you're liking this theme, yukarichan, at least my hardwork got paid off! Crying *touched*

And Celsius005, I can't believe you discovered my secret experiment there! Surprised Well, yes I added the new "expand" button next to the "Menu" since I think it will be pretty sweet to have such a feature. I've been struggling to pick a minimal symbol for this expand button that actually looks good, in the end I settled for "All". Meow I should mention that you can use hotkey to access the expand button. Just press "alt+A" to expand everything on the page you're currently browing in the Yumekui theme.

About adding the play button to each theme, that gonna take some effort since I have to put in the CSS to position it properly with cross browser compatibility, adding colours etc. I'm kinda lazy now and I guess they might be added when I have the mood. Tongue For the Yumekui theme, I changed the song from "Yumekui" to "tears" since I find it more attractive at the moment, especially after reading the translation. Giggle

Here's some tips for you to increase your productivity in the forum, Celsius005. Instead of highlighting and click those BBCode button, you should get used to the shortcut keys, which I explained in the BBCode thread. They work similarly as the expand button's "alt+A", and using shortcut key makes it faster to make a post with proper formatting. Nod
