Thanks for the news... although it's been quite a while, still good anyhow. xD
I actually downloaded that episode, yet to watch it all though.
SMILY totally deserved that #7, and if you ask me should be even higher! Kingyo Hanabi was quite a shock, since its a summer song and all..... but I'm also surprised Sakuranbo isn't on there! Or mayvbe that's more suited to Spring.. |

Yeah, sakuranbo might be a bit more spring-ish. Where did you find the music station episode- jpopsuki? I need to find somewhere that has these regularly. |

same here HilaryDuffFanboy, downloaded the whole thing just to see ai-chin^^2 top songs for summer and a message^^(I wonder what she said^^); thanks Onyx Spears for posting this info up anyway
enlightened0ne, yes I got it on jpopsuki and I believe HilaryDuffFanboy too. Music Station and other TV shows are shared on jpopsuki weekly, more often just 1 day after they aired^^ |

Hmm... I'll have to start looking there again. I seem to have missed it during my not-so-regular skim of latest torrents... maybe it is just because there are so many that it gets buried. Thanks for the confirmation |

I don't know whether it's just me, but Neko ni fuusen doesn't feel like a summer song. Still, I agree, it should be there just because it is a beautiful song, and because it is Ai-chan. |

Maybe it's just where I live (Bay area, California, extremely mild summers). Hence I think of Neko Ni Fuusen as a light summer breeze. Could be just the kind of summer I'm really sort of used to |

| Neko Ni Fuusen should be for Autumn. To me Ai should've placed higher, the other bands are not as good. Pornograffiti songs sound like winter to me. |

Yeah, I see what you mean. For your summers, maybe Neko ni fuusen fits your summers well. I am used to blazing heat... so it is rather different for me. SMILY seems more like my summers I think Planetarium should have been on the chart too. After all, summers aren't only days, and the nights in summer are clear, so that you can go outside and look into the sky; that's when there are fireworks etc. Hehe |

I also live in the Bay Area, but if I had to choose, despite the summer release date and our temperate weather, I would associate the single with autumn, like tsumetai.ame. Eventhough so much of Neko ni Fuusen is about hope, it's just as much about harsh reality. These themes, in of themselves, remind me of autumn--harvest and bountiful living, but at the same time, the dying back of the world for winter. For me, it is more like a patch of sunshine or blue sky amidst the chilling winds and fog (which is also a Bay Area staple ).
But just on principle, seeing as Neko is probably my favorite of Ai's songs, I too am sad not seeing it listed...

I whole-hearted agree! Planetarium is the quintessential summer night song for me... You can feel both the still warmth and the cool breezes. Plus the inherent dreamy quality of nighttime in the freedom of the summer season...
The symbols used in the PVs also tend to dictate the seasonal feel of a single... |

Good, I am glad someone agrees with me. I wonder why it didn't get on the list, then? Maybe they were only looking for up-beat songs... except then Kingyo Hanabi wouldn't have been on the list, I think. I'll have to watch the countdown (which I finally downloaded on my internet that has been capped to 128kb/s---grrr ). Maybe that will enlighten me |
