1. Yumekui - Otsuka Ai
2. Frienger - Otsuka Ai

Woo~~ go Ai!!

Thanks for that Kingyo-Hanabi92.

Honestly, what could have been if Avex didn't allow digital downloads like JE, or that digital downloads were counted. Like seriously, any song hitting #2 after 4 months of release is incredible.

It was posted in the Renai Shashin thread by I think evil_tomba, 1st week sales for Renai Shashin was 78k and it got #2. Difference between #1 and 2 was 45k.

Kind of low, considering how to me, the movie (and the song) was hyped....

^yup. Considering it was put out long before and was pretty hyped, it isn't that great. 2006 isn't a great year for Otsuka Ai sales either...we'll see how her album pulls through...

In my opinion, Renai Shashin should've got number 1. Love 78K is a lot and they've hyping the song and that movie so yea, it should've got one!! But Ai's sales this year are the best. Frienger and Yumekui are the first two songs I've heard of Ai. Happy to see they are on top.

Well, it's just a single, nothing big. People spend more on albums then they do on singles. Her sales for album might be lower then previous, unless she releases a best then it might be different.

Renai Shashin really dropped in sales over the past weekend. It was down to #10 by Tuesday. It has been rising in the charts over the week, but it was only back up to #5 by Friday. The rankings for Saturday (Today) haven't been posted on the Oricon chart yet, so we'll have to wait and see where it is now. No

24k in second week.

Looks like Renai Shashin isn't becoming the commercial success some people had anticipated. Tongue

Anyhow, remember how Frienger could have gotten #1 if it was bumped up a week? Well Renai Shashin could have gotten #1 if it was delayed one more week. This weeks #1, WaT's Ready Go!, only sold 46k, with BoA's Winter Love not far behind at #2, selling 42k.

It's times like these that I hate avex. Mad

Maybe it will pick up after the movie. Look at how long Planetarium charted just from being in Hana Yori Dango. If this movie is as big as anticipated, we might see a climb in the charts once it's released.

The movie was released three days after the single was released, on 28th of October. Don't think anything can save it now.....

Well #@$&! For some reason I thought the movie was coming out like a month later.
Where have I been? Confused

I have to agree then. Ugh. Stupid Avex. Maybe contractually she had to release it as soon as the movie came out. Sucks, though. No

wasnt really happy about this ?..... i don't think its even good to see a sudden rise after the movie/drama comes out. That may sometimes means people buy it becos they love the movie/drama not the music.

hope it cross the 150,000 line but doubt it....... the sales for this one is pretty bad tho, what the hell happened ? Surprised Confused

It seems that Ai-chan's sales for ballads are not as good as her sales for more upbeat songs Sad (eg. Sakuranbo, Frienger) They aren't bad figures though, even though they aren't as high as expected. There will probably be better sales towards spring and summer though, because I think that this is when a lot of music is bought. Smile Maybe also a bit of a boost towards Christmas.
