Really? I think that's awesome. Though I'd prefer buying the actually CD, since it includes the lyric book and everything.
Thanks for the info HilaryDuffFanboy and aifan929! |

If I was the head of Oricon, I would make each song downloaded from a single equivalent to 1/2 a single sold.... But then things could be complicated with instrumentals and possible remixes and such....
But it's good that digital downloads will be directly incorporated into the charts... it's much more fair....
And thanks to aifan929 for those digital download results! It's evident digital downloads are growing even more, since SMILY and Frienger had quite similar digital sales, where as there was a very big difference in the CD sales.
Sometimes I don't know whether it's good or not, but at this current moment, it's not that good since digital sales aren't implemented. JE does not allow digital sales at all, which is a big factor for their chart "success". |

First thanks HilaryDuffFanboy for creating the topic and updating the sale info.
Then, thanks aifan929 abt the Digital DL chart^^
I was unhappy that ai-chin's 5th spot on oricon chart (even I tried to tell myself #5 isn't too bad, but of course I always want ai-chin to get the #1^^), good to hear ai-chin's on #1 on the Digital DL chart^^
If Oricon create new charts for Online DL, then download from which sites will be counted toward the chart? or any legal DL site will do?? I'm sure it's just for ppl in jp but still want to know^^ and If I'm not wrong, ai-chin got an award last year abt something regard to Legal Download?? |

| ^I think they're counting Chaku-Uta ones since it's the most people use that in Japan and some PC downloads as well. |

Well I think the sales this week is considered pretty good already, seeing it's just about 1300 copies less than BoA's brand new single "KEY OF HEART/DOTCH" that was just released. I think BoA is really losing her popularity, is she not? 26,123 copies for first week sales is a little low considering she used to be one of avex bestselling artists.
I'm sure we'll see better sales figure next week, it's a little too early to say if "Tokyo Friends The Movie" has any impact on the sales yet IMO. |

I have to say sales of 24k are disappointing. Total sales are only 88k. If it continues to fall next week even with the 'help' of Tokyo Friends, I'll doubt very much it will even hit 120k or something, think Neko ni Fuusen again. Again, I think the same cover for both versions and an animated cover has certainly done more harm than good.
On a happier note, LOVE COOK continues to increase in sales, as it hits 2k after a few months this week. For the record, Ayumi Hamasaki's (miss)understood has stopped charting, despite being released only 2 weeks after LOVE COOK. Hooray for Ai-chin and her longevity. |

Normally I don't double post, but I had to just to bump it up.
A great week in sales I have to say. Tokyo Friends the Movie though didn't help increase Yumekui's sales, it surely did however stop Yumekui from experiencing a drastic drop in sales. LOVE COOK Tour DVD did not drop by much as well.
Another interesting thing that surprises me each week is that LOVE COOK's sales still continues to increase in sales, little by little. Just a few months ago it was nearly booted out of the top 200. Ayumi was, but her album (miss)understood re-entered the charts. |
