Usually, あくび(欠伸) means yawn ,not 悪日 (bad day).
and yawn (あくび)is used in hiragana.
(This word is appeared in dictionary ,but it is used rarely in Japan, and I have never seen this word.)
But this is a poem, and suddenly she posted ....
She maybe imply bad day...
I wish she doesn't have bad day about her rabbits... That is the problem. ”あくび” & ”うつる” are the important words that, on the 「ai think」, written in hiragana, not kanji. So it become difficult to know the meaning of it.
And yes, I hope it's not 悪日 (bad day) but あくび(欠伸) (yawn). |

New entry from the official website, today (2009.12.9).
頭の中の会話
DATE:2009/12/09(Wed) 12:35 No.117
空を見上げる
雪の動きを目で追う
海を見つめる
風を聞く
口からでる言葉をやめて
頭の中で会話する
肌で キスで
聞こえる あなたの言葉
言葉を信じるのは怖いものだ
あなたも怖がっているの?
信じてみて 頭の中にある言葉
What she's means?
Aichin, what problem you face? What scary words?
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I try to translate in English.
Conversation Inside Head
To look up at the sky
To look the movement of the snow using eyes
To look the sea
To hear the wind
Stop the words that comes out from the mouth
To converse inside the head
With the skin with the kiss
Your words which could be heard
To believe the words is scary thing
Are you afraid too?
I try to believe the words which exist inside the head |

Wow, it's really great to see that so many people have tried to chip in and translate now the Celcius seems to have given it up. Thank you very much for all your hard work, as without it, I would not be able to enjoy Ai-chan's entries.
It seems like she has become somewhat melancholic over the last few entries. I wonder if there are some serious changes going on in her life right now? No telling, I guess. |

<<Conversations Inside Heads>> is quite a common experience, no?
when we're in love, and really into the relationship, there's lots of happy thoughts, great plans that goes on in the mind. though it is sometimes best if we're just to act it out, rather than say it and make a mess out of it.
everyone knows how a little misunderstanding can cause "World Wars" between lovers, right?
just my take |

New entry from the official website, today (2010.1.12).
It has been a while since her "happy-feeling" entries. And today, her entry is a kind of that.
I'm happy if she's happy...
And this time is not a poem.
あけまくりまして、おめでたく、2010年も
DATE:2010/01/12(Tue) 11:02 No.118
よろしくお願いします!
今年は年明けから
ほんわかな、正月らしい過ごし方をしました。
ゆったりと、夕日を眺めたり、
旅行に旅立ってみたり、
実家に帰ってみたり、
とっても普通に過ごして
時間の素敵さに、毎日が愛しく思えました。
とりあえず、今年も生き生きと、出発しまぁす☆

Happy New Year, Year 2010 are also
Yoroshiku Onegaishimasu!
This year, from the beginning of the year
I have spent the new year's days.
Comfortly, I viewed the evening sun,
I begun a trip,
I’m backed to my parents’ home,
I spent a very very ordinary new year’s days
The good time is, everyday I felt like a love.
First of all, I will go for this year with freshneeess ☆
なるほどね、愛ちん!生き生きと出発しま~す、2010年!! |

I should have checked here earlier!
miyago is right about 116, it is a poem about "yawning", a very funny poem actually.
Nothing happened to her rabbits!
I will try go back and translate her older ones, but here is my version of 118:
chokokokoa did a very good job already though
but some slight differences
Turning out to be a happy year, 2010
DATE:2010/01/12(Tue) 11:02 No.118
Thank you (2010), pleased to meet you!
Since this year started
I have spent the New Years period pleasantly .
Relaxed, gazing at the setting sun,
Seeing (myself) starting on a trip,
Seeing (myself) returning to my parents home,
I spent the time (with them) in a very ordinary way
During that lovely time, every day felt dear (to me)
Already, this year has started off very vividly. ☆ |

This will be my last diary entry translation, because choko always beats me to it first ( ) and it isn't good for me to pollute this topic with double translations.
So next time, I will tell choko my translation by PM so he can decide on what sounds best, and post the translations only once for everybody (like Celsius used to do)
This is my version of 117, the one she posted in early December
Conversations in the mind
Eyes following the moving snow
Gazing at the sea
Listening to the wind
Stop words from escaping the mouth
Converse in the mind
with a caress
with a "kiss"
can hear
your words
Believing words, is a scary thing
Are you not also afraid?
Believe what you see
the words inside the mind
This was a very strange diary entry, broken sentences, very thoughtful
The hardest thing about Japanese (and her diary entries) is trying to figure out who she is talking to!!
Maybe this is just like all the other ones where she is saying things generally (not just about herself) but I get the feeling she is implying something with this entry, remembering something maybe?
Or maybe its just another play on words, and she is "scaring" us by saying the "caress" and "kiss" bit, that we shouldn't believe what we hear, but what we see.
Words are only words and thoughts are only thoughts, and not the same as seeing something happening, or hearing something said, to be able to believe in it
(if that makes any sense... translating Ai-chin's thoughts is driving me bonkers ) |
