This year I got to go to an anime convention ^_^ It was my first time ever going to one... I never really wanted to go before because it never really appealed to me but this year they were having 2 straight from japan musicial acts... Kumiko Kato and ZZ band. (kumiko being a new up coming jpop artist and ZZ being one that has been around for awhile and is signed with avex and will be performing @ A-Nation)
But at last minute Kumiko Kato couldnt come. -_-; Which sucked but anywayz...
I was supposed to go to the convention for 2 days but I only ended up going the first day.
I dressed up as Mitsuki from Full Moon ^_^
The first thing I did was go to the ZZ Q & A. It was awesome. There weren't many poeple there so it was nice. Basically you could just ask a question whenever you wanted and the translator would tell them and they would answer ect. My dad was dressed as Tamori from music station so he said he would pay me 7$ to ask if they had ever been on music station  They said no but they did say that they had been on CDTV.
One of the first questions was that someone asked if they liked Morning Musume (no surprisingly it wasnt me lol) and they said they did but I couldnt tell if they were just being respectful or if they actually did. Lol. But Kohsuke the gutairist said he liked Yagutchi and they all seemed to agree. Then Sotaro the vocalist said he like Ishikawa. Good choices Someone asked if they had met any famous artists and they said that recently they had gotten pictures on their camera phone of Otsuka Ai and that one of them, I think Kyama on bass not sure, said that he recently went snowbaording (or something like that) with M-Flo. There were these 3 japense girls sitting in front of me and when they mentioned Ai Otsuka they got all excited and were like "Eeahhhh?" lol and then later the translator pressured them to ask a question cause they were the only ones to not ask a question and so they asked if they like Tohoshinki (DBSK) and they said they never really listened to them but they are performing with them at A-Nation but they will definately check out their music. They said they would have to leave right after the the convention to prepare for A-Nation. Someone asked what anime they liked and I dont remember the names because I had never heard of any of it Oh yea exept they said they like One Piece which is why they were so happy when they were able to sing one of the songs for One Piece. They said they went to this park on there tour of the area but they couldnt figure out why the tour guide took them there (because its a place where there are a lot of drugs and all the poor people live there) The tour guide should have told them that there is a lot of japanese history there They said a woman was standing right beside them and did crack... >.<
They were so nice and down to earth it was cool. I got to take a picture with them after the Q & A. I thought Kohsuke was the lead vocolist because he did most of the talking but he wasnt >.< Matsuura was definately the quietist. You could tell Erichi and Sotaro were good friends they chatted amongst themselves.
After that I went to this thing called 'Anime Idol' its like American Ido but they sing anime songs. The only song I knew was Cutey Honey and some random guy from the audience kept going "HONEY FLASH!" XD
Then I went to this AMV showing thing. They had one I really really liked because it was a serious, dramatic one not a funny one but I didnt know what anime it was from >.< They played that naruto Ninja Star one thats really funny and which I saw before. The Naruto Mighty King one was funny too
I went to dealers room but they didnt have what I was looking for. (Kingdom Hearts stuff was too expensive and I was looking for a manga book) They had CD's but it was all bootleg.
Then I went to the concert. It was so cool they really know how to perform. Sotaro the lead vocolist can sure jump high! They were selling stuff so I bought their single collection CD+DVD for $35. Also their Samurai Blue T-Shirts (if youve ever seen the PV). The performance was so cool! The lead vocalist talked in english a bit. He said he was going to perform summertime blues and then he said something like 'Im so sad! Cant buy anything here. Taxes too high!" lmao XD
After that I waited in line for like forever to get their autographs. I couldnt figure out what line was which and it was so confussing lol. When I went to get their autographs Erichi the girl on piano was first. Before you go someone writes your name on a piece of paper so that the band can autograph "to ____ " and I said my name was Keiko because its my nickname and also middlename. So Erichi asked if I was japanese and I said half and she asked me if I could speak it and I said no ;_; And she talked a bit. She was really nice and happy. Then Matsuura was next, asked same questions He seemed really happy too. Next was Sotaro. I dont know why but Kyama was staring at me with a smile on his face the whole time and so I just kind of looked at him and smiled rofl. Sotaro seemed really tired and really shy >.< He didnt speak to me at all except for 'thank you' >.> Lol. Then it was Kyama. He seemed less why but he was kind of quiet. He talked to Sotaro while he was doing it but it was in japanese so yea... =P. Then it was Kohsuke. He seemed happy too and he talked to Sotaro for a minute when he was doing my autgraph. From the words I understood I think Sotaro was telling him I was half japanese but couldnt speak it or something like that. Then I asked for a picture and he said yes of course with a big smile.
My dad didnt want an autograph but I made him go and get one so that I could have 2 XD I told him to write megan instead of his name so it would be to me. I think Erichi was smart enough to know megan is not a guys name rofl. She was like "Oh this e is an O right? Your name is morgan?" and stuff and then she was showing Matsuura and trying to figure it out XD Then she kept trying to pronounce it with matsuura XD; Erichi and Matsuura seemed like good friends. I think Erichi is really friendly 8)

Some other random stuff... I saw a lot of Kingdom Hearts cosplayers. It was cool. Roxas, lots of Sora's, a Riku, Organization 13 people. There were also tons of naruto related characters.
And also... please check out ZZ's music =D I would even upload for you! They're really good. They remind me of like... AAA combined with Orange Range or something.
Sorry that my post is ridiculously long >.< And sorry if this is better suited somewhere else... I wasnt sure if I should post it here, in the anime section or in the asian music section >.< |

Wow, sounds like you had a lot of fun! I've only been to one anime con in my life, and it was a stinky local one, so yeah So lucky, you got to meet and talk to a band that you like (hey, I'm interested in them now...  ). And they met Ai-chin!!!!!!!!!!!   JEALOUSNESSSSSS! ENVIOUSNESSS!  And they went snowboarding with m-flo?! How weird is that, lol? (Although I can totally imagine Verbal with his shades on, yelling "WHOOOO!" while going full speed down an impossibly steep cliff... XD)
blehhh Tohoshinki. (sorry, not a fan.)
Anyways.
You look really cute in the pic  Full Moon, eh? That manga is pretty, but the storyline is so typical...  ...and overly dramatic.... (I read it just because it was pretty yeah I'm weird).
And dude, those autographs are aweshumness. You cheater, making your dad get you a second one LOL  I want one now XD

^ Thank you for your comment ^___^ And this was a local one... Well it was a 45 minute drive from my house. =D I actually wasn't a fan of them before that though because I had never heard of them >.< But after the live performances I was totally a fan  |

lol Hits my head.. i thought you wen to Japan LOL...
No one dance the Haruhi dance ? dont know but alot of anime conventions and stuff like that, there would be people dancing to " Hare Hare Yukai 「ハレ晴レユカイ」"....
I dont have them here !! but we do have the cosplay thing LOL |
