Hi Hi!
You guys have seen on those really cute email popups in dramas and movies right?
Like when you receive an email, a popup comes out, and there's like a really cute character or something that says, "You have mail!"

I was wondering if anyone knows if there is one of those sites.......and if there are such things......
Thanks, Pleased

I'm not too sure myself but software like Yahoo messenger (or the more cumbersome Google Desktop) usually has an email alert feature that shows a message when an email arrives. The problem is, usually the alert is just a simple icon or text. I personally haven't seen cute icons before but I suppose there could be customizable options. Anyone else has any idea?

As far as I know, it is a feature of Yahoo mail, though I don't know how to access it (I don't use yahoo). I think that every time I have seen that, the character has been using yahoo... :S

Here, try this: It's shareware and looks pretty good. Haven't tried it myself yet but if cute icons are what you want, I think it looks great. Smile

Hope it helps.

I suggest you use Thunderbird as your email client, I have made a tutorial kind of thing in this thread.

Once you get Thunderbird working you can customize the new mail alerts using Mailbox Alert extension. It allows you to change the icon used, the message displayed, and also the sound played when a new mail arrives. If you want to go for something cute, you can use a LOVE-chan icon and Ai-chin's voice for it, I believe. Wink
