Hi, tsukiko! Thank you so much, your nice words to me! I must tell you, I like your attitude very much! and also your signature, which is kawaii but I don't know who are all those guys!
Yes you have discovered the serious flaw in my idea! I forgot that we are everywhere! not in a single town or school! I guess collective tour could only be for the Japan side, meeting there! but travel to Japan cannot be together!
I wonder if we could arrange "virtual" tour instead? We use webex collaborative environment on line tool at my work for "virtual" meetings of distributed team all over USA. Maybe such tools could create live video feed controlled by one site, tour guide in Japan with camera, we can all ride along for some time each day! Sound included, plus chat in corner of the screen, we can talk to each other... each day different tour, maybe one or two hours, last day Otsuka small concert live in studio somewhere, we are her "virtual" audience, we can chat with her too! Yes! Worldwide chat with Otsuka! Cute! and of course there is some way Avex will charge for this, please have credit card ready...
Yes I understand that time zone will be different, this cannot be helped, from Los Angeles to Japan is +17 hours. Sometimes we do this for work, I must be in telecon from 6 AM which is 8 AM in Houston, center of my program. But I have seen experience with this: my cousin who is in college now, he was a little boy when I came to USA, his father (my aunt's husband, I call him my uncle) helped him participate in such a nationwide chat session with famous baseball player Ken Griffey, Jr. and he was able to ask Griffey a question (my uncle typed) and it was answered during this nationwide chat! sponsored by Nintendo of course, commercial must happen!
Wow, Ai Otsuka Virtual Japan Tour, Concert, And Discussion! This is possible! also much cheaper for everyone. |

| but the idea of it being virtual is probably not as enjoyable an experience for people as opposed to actually seeing and hearing ai in person. |

| Hi, Mansley! Of course virtual tour is not so wonderful as hearing noises of Osaka traffic and experience smells of restaurants and vibration of train shaking soles of your feet! but maybe no one can afford, yes? I know my trip in spring time will cost at least $3,000 and maybe more, even I can stay with other people! |

yes but the whole reason we are talking about this in the first place is because the thread asks if anyone has met ai. so the point of a tour would seem to be to actually meet ai. (i suppose that would be a crowning moment for channel-ai...)
i know it's expensive. i guess we need to consider everyone's case differently. i think i would have to go as part of my education because paying for a trip for fun isn't going to be easy for me. paying to study there for maybe half a year shouldn't be too much more than paying to come to school already. |

wow, that was a great post, +Fumi
your parents would be very proud of you!
yeah, we're scattered all over the globe here at ch-ai! it would be cheaper to go in a group, but what about the flights?
some would be longer, others shorter, some cheaper others more expensive...
and i know my parents wouldn't let me go with people i've never met in person before.
but if all the minors who wanna go got their own parent or whatever to come with them and we all met up somewhere? hmm...we'd have to find out when ai's next concert is and buy group tickets, and such. oh, and we'd need to either hire translators, or some of the ch-ai'lians proficient in japanese would need to come.
it sounds like a lot of work
is it really possible? |

| I'm in Australia too! I hope to fly to Japan within the next two years. If I have perfect timing, hopefully Ai will have a tour whilst I'm there. *___*;; |

and the jetlag!
for some of you, it won't be so bad. but for us americans (at least west coast) it'll be flying 16 hours into the future! stupid international dateline! so when i do go, i'll be snapping at people and falling asleep standing and things like that... why oh why do you do this to me mr.dateline?? oh well, i've dealt with 8 hours ahead, this is just...twice as...bad...ah dang, this sucks |

I never telephone to my new friends in Japan because when I am waking up, they are going to sleep! and when I am working, they are sleeping! and when I am preparing for sleep, they are starting to work! I send e-mail to them because it is waiting them when they wake up!
P.S. Howdy y'all from Texas! I am working at Houston this week! then? either return to LA or work one week Cape Canaveral (I hope!) |

My dream was pretty much the same thing. Have some spirit ok? We all want to go there right? Hold on tight to our dreams, although it's highly impossible, just hold on tight and have some spirit. A lot of people say I won't meet Ai in my life at all, but I still believe in myself and keep hoping. We should all have faith in all our dreams. |

Even if you go to her concert I don't think you can "meet" her. Ai would have to stay outside with a line of a billion people all night long waiting to meet her in that case, lol. I've been to visual lives where 400 less tickets are sold and at the end you don't get to meet the artists in person, you get to watch them, but not talk to them. But it seems like bands that tour america like to meet people in person.
Well, recently I've been wanting to see Ai a lot too. But I have no clue of how her concerts work... And I have a couple of questions...
How many concerts does Ai do per year? Does she do one tour per year?
How much do her concert tickets cost? How many people attend? |
