Koi Kogarete Mita Yu is the current ED for the new baseball anime CROSS GAME
I guess this might be her final single for 2009 |

By the way, I'm living in Singapore and did not spotted any of Ayaka's albums in any of the shops, anyone knows where I could get it?Helps are appreciated(: |

^ they got some at HMV on the third floor of Heeren. although unfortunately not too much. i remember i saw First Message, Te wo tsunagou and Anata to there three days ago, maybe there was some other single too.
and i just got the new single. time to listen. ^^ |

anyway... more news. from what i've heard she'll be starting her hiatus at the end of the year, not right away. if anyone's got the time and skills in japanese you can go read this article: http://news.ameba.jp/special/2009/04/36411.html. at least it says that they cannot tell yet whether she will recover soon or not. and i also heard that she's actually had the disease since 2006...
onto some happier news... 
according to fan-net, there's a new single coming out the 8th of July called みんな空の下 (minna sora no shita; everyone (are) under the sky). good to hear she's still going strong, but i guess i'd be pushing my luck to hope for another album before the hiatus... 
i gotta confess i haven't actually listened to the new single yet (although i said i would in my last post  ).... better go do that.

Well, supposed that's the heeren x_X.
On the new single coming out, totally looking forward to it but then again, It would be better for her if she starts her hiatus earlier to rest x_X. |

Love the new single and excited for the upcoming single. As much as I love a new album from her I'd be content with an acoustic album ... not a best of yet (because she's only come out with two new albums) or even just a cover album (since she's done some fabulous covers in the past in her lives).
Anyways, she did have a live recently and I came across this article about it the other day

I'm sorta of sitting on the fence about the whole hiatus. I'd love to hear more new material from her as Sing To the Sky feels a long while now ... on the other hand, I think she needs to face her health matters head on. My dad has a similar condition though not as sever as what she has. I've head from some other people that have the condition. If she gets the surgery, it'll be easier to stabilize. Granted she'll still need to have regular medical check-ups and to take medication but it's a chronic illness that one can live with ...
I dunno ... I want her to face her health head on for the time being and come back with some killer new songs ... something like that ... |

8th July is coming soon and hopefully, the single will come out as said (didn't went and search for it), seeing this board 'empty' makes it feel as though Ayaka isn't that popular since her last album eh?Just a personal opinion.
And anyways, on a side note, finally gotten most of her singles/albums, and I want to thank mangomalte(:

Ayaka is coming out with a best of album!!!!!!!!!!!!! Well sort of two ...
I've heard of rumors about three weeks ago but the source was livedoor so I only took it as a grain of salt at the time.

The album will include all her singles from 'I Believe' to 'Minna Sora no Shita', and will also include the two Kobukuro collaborations. There will be two special editions of the album, as well as a regular edition.
CD1 - "Best of" songs decided by Warner Music Japan
CD2 - Songs decided by fans (jpopmusic.com)
The special editions of the album come in two different versions:
The album and an ayaka photobook, or the album and a collection of PVs. Both are ￥4,500 (USD 47.61, CND 51.30)
The regular album is ￥3150 (USD 33.31, CND 36.05)

Well, I love ayaka  . Her lyrics are really touching, she is pretty, she has a amazing (!) live voice and she has beautiful songs. Well, I would prefer a new album, but a best is okay too. Maybe I will order it  ! |

Cover for the album (looks like all three versions have the same cover ... but I'm not 100% sure about that ...
All three versions of the album are up on CDJ and HMV for preorder. Haven't seen it on YA yet.

Looks like Ayaka will still be doing performances this year. One for J-Wave on Aug 15th and Dream Summer Live on Aug 22. Hopefully she's not pushing herself too hard. I do wonder how much or if any promotion she'll be doing for her Best album.
I know that she needs and deserves this up coming hiatus but I hope it doesn't turn into something permanent. I'd be really sad to see such a talent artist with such a beautiful voice leave the industry for good. Hopefully that won't happen. |

Narumi Riko was in 1 litre of tears (and the special). She played the older sister of Aya. I believe she was also in Honey and Clover as Hagumi. Her acting isn't too bad. Though she was better in 1 litre of tears compared to Honey and Clover. I don't recall ever seeing a drama with Tanimura Mitsuki at the moment ...

I'm excited for this! There's yet to be a TBS drama (that I've seen so far) that let me down so I hope this one will be the same as the others in that it won't be disappointing. I would love if ayaka did the theme song to the drama as this drama is based on one of her songs. Though she's going on hiatus, so dunno how this will work out. |

Narumi Riko played the younger sister of Aya in 1LoT, and yes, i too liked her better in that role was better than her role in Honey and Clover, though that also have to do with Hagumi being such a weirdo.
i've seen Tanimura Mitsuki in Taiyou to Umi no Kyoushitsu (though not much, i've only seen the first 3 eps so far) and i can't remember her from 14sai no Haha. can't say much about her.
interesting idea to make a drama based on a song... i can't remember hearing about a drama like that before. it's definitely an awesome song, but i had to look up the translation of the lyrics just now to actually know what it's about, lol. long distance relationship, eh?
at first i was a bit confused as to why there were two girls as the protagonists instead of a girl and a boy, but as i read the second article it said that it was two stories rather than one with each of them starring the main char in one of them. and they'll both have a long distance relationship with someone.
looking forward to seeing this. |
