| I've used the chat feature a couple of times before, and it seems like after a while of no posts/or people joining, people forget and when people do join they don't notice. I think if it is possible, it would be more convenient if when the chatroom gets a new posts or someone joins, it makes a sound or makes the icon on your tool bar (I think that's what it's called) flash like on messengers so then people will notice and not forget so often. |

| I've actually thought about this too and I've been guilty of forgetting about the forum while doing other things on the net or around the house. I also thought that being able to toggle the notice on and off would get rid of the issue of it being annoying. If this suggestion's at all possible it'd be greatly appreciated. |

The chatspot actually has quite a few commands, the basic ones being usable by any member.
The command you may be looking for can be performed using this input:
/alert (enter username)
If you enter the username of the person you want to notify (and exclude the parentheses) a small popup window will appear on that person's screen telling them that you notified him or her. I believe the window also makes a sound upon receiving it so it should surely get someone's attention.
For example, if you input this into the message box:
/alert Celsius005
I should receive an alert telling me that so-and-so has alerted me. See how it works? Also be sure that you haven't blocked users from alerting you. You can configure this setting by clicking on the link that says "Options" in the upper righthand corner of the chatroom. The "Help" link next to that has a list of performable commands and any used will be confirmed by the System Msg saying that you have performed such-and-such command.
Hope that helps! |

I would have given the same answer as what Celsius005 mentioned above. Unfortunately there is no sound notification available so far. Hopefully those Chatspot developers can add in a new notification system for the next version.
For now, you'll have to stick with /alert as a mean of getting attention of someone in the chat room. And in order to let others to alert you, you MUST turn ON the alert in "options" once you get into the chat room, this is very important. |
