By the way, I forgot to mention that they're giving away a free poster at HMV when you buy Renai Shashin. It's pretty big (about 50 x 72 cm), and really nice -- it's a collage of maybe about 60 Polaroid photos of Ai, like the design of her official site (and the Renai Shashin theme here at Channel Ai).

Maybe you can get the poster if you buy it at other places too. But anyway, if you live in Japan, hurry up and buy it soon, cause there's a limited amount of the posters.

I'll try to take a photo of it and post it here.

Okay, here's a photo of it. It's not a great photo; it's a bit distorted as the poster wasn't perfectly flat, and I had to crop the edges where I had some coins holding it down, but you get the idea anyway. Click to view full size.

Thanks for the pic! It's the highest quality pic of the poster I've seen so far!!! By the way, I want to ask, is that white block that says "Otsuka Ai - Renai Shashin" part of the poster? Shocked

Also, next time, please click 'edit this' or 'edit' to update your post. What you did is double posting and is counted as spam. Confused

Yes the poster is brilliant. Normally I would never pay for the poster but this time I did because it was marvelous, not to mention this is the first single I'm buying for Otsuka Ai! The photos are absolutely brilliant, one of which that I like involves her having a tear coming down her cheeks. There're many other brilliant shots though. I would recommend it to anybody.

Yes, that's what it says.

I'm aware of that rule, however, when I was ready to add the image, the "edit" button was no longer available. Only the "quote" button was there. Now the edit button is there again; I don't know where it went, but it was definitely not there when I went to post the image.

By the way, this forum already has an admin (hint: it's not you). If you want to tell people what to do, please go start your own forum somewhere else, or at least try being more polite about it. Saying my post "counts as spam" was particularly stupid. I didn't have to spend my time taking a photo of the poster and editing to share it with all of you; I chose to do so because I wanted to contribute to the forum. Your attitude does not contribute anything. Next time think before you speak.

Blank stare

Thanks for the photo of the poster, Stormchild, it looks really good! I ordered my single from cdjapan and I think they do send the poster together with the single. Genni_lna asked if YesAsia ship the single with the poster, I don't think so. If you go read the product details, you'll see that they added "poster not included". No I kinda expected YesAsia to not ship the poster with the single so I ordered from cdjapan this time, lucky me! Boogie

For the double post issue, I think HDF is just trying to give out a friendly reminder, the emoticon kinda soften the tone, but maybe the wording is still a little harsh for some people? I don't think he mean any harm though, it's good to have members giving out friendly reminder like that once in a while, so I don't have to give them out myself. Tongue

Anyway, everything's good and thanks for sharing the picture. Nod Enjoy your time while you're still in Japan! Wink

Thanks. Sadly I'm leaving next Thursday (Nov 2). Sad

Maybe that's why I'm a little sensitive right now. I don't want to leave! I'm looking forward to seeing friends and family back in Canada, but I wish I was just going for a visit, and coming back to Kyoto after. I really love this country -- especially the Kansai area.

I still have time to do a couple more fun things before I go, though. Tomorrow we're gonna have a little party at the apartment I'm living in; it's just a house with 8 tiny rooms, but I met some cool people here that I hang out with sometimes. On Sunday, another friend and I are gonna go to Osaka one more time, to check out Denden Town (the otaku area -- Osaka's version of Akihabara), and go to a maid cafe (these are so awesome!).

When I'm back in Vancouver, I'll start working on my plan to move back to Japan. Next time I plan to move here semi-permanently; for several years at least. If I can find a job here, I'll move back as soon as possible. Otherwise my plan is to save up money and go to school, probably in Kyoto. To be honest I'm not that interested in university; I prefer studying on my own, but you have to have a degree to get a general work visa (which you need to live here, unless you marry a Japanese person). The other option is to enroll in a college or university and get a student visa, which allows you to live here, and work up to 20 hours a week as well. One bonus is that you can also get scholarships if you're coming here to study Japanese language and culture.

It's not easy to get into Japan if you want to work and live here, but it's certainly worth the trouble.

Thanks so much for the photo of the poster, Stormchild! I can actually tell what the poster looks like in this image! Such a sweet poster and it really goes well with the entire idea of Renai Shashin. I really love it. Wish I could actually afford to get my hands on it at the moment! Sad

I think that's one of the best posters I've ever seen. Really nicely put together, and no "ON SALE NOW!" printed all over! lol. Thanks for sharing Smile

Alot of work on the poster, and it's great. How much was the CD by the way?

¥1050 for the CD-only version. The CD+DVD version is usually ¥1890, but HMV has it on sale for ¥1607 right now. I would have bought that version, but I can't play region 2 DVDs on my laptop.

I want to have that poster but sadly there's no Ai album here in Germany. You have to extra reserve them or something. Crying
