Yeah, I feel the same way as you thenamesfang. I never really got into an artist but I've been following Ai-chin's career for awhile now and I'm always drawn in; it's really something alien to me. I'm sure this forum has helped keep it going because I've never really had means to follow some of my other favourites. These fundamentals are a pretty good place to start, but I found out about this thread so late that a lot of the things I knew from here and there. It's still awesome though. Grin

Yep, gotta agree with you. I wanted to follow Ai's career as much as possible ever since I read this one thread. Nod

I started reading this a long time ago but forgot!
But now I found it... don't know why I just said that...
This should be like called "Ai FANdamentals", lol... lame, lame I know.
But this i a very interesting thread! I never noticed all these little facts about her. But I was kind of disappointed reading she hates all vegetables and only likes meats... I mean... to me it seemed like she wasn't a health-concscious person, but who knows? Lol, and reading about all those laughing habits I remembered they were true since in Utaban there was like this one episode and she laughs so much and like pats her head and all that...

Thank you for the translation, Ha-Ha-Haru!!
It looks spot on!
I was being lazy and didn't want to do it... Shifty Tongue Not to mention stupid homework issues... No
We'd make a good pair, since I know food names and cultural items better than other things. Giggle

For the missing ones:
中トロ(ちゅうとろ 、chuu toro)- medium-fat tuna sushi
板わさ(いたわさ 、itawasa) - sliced kamaboko (fish cake) served with wasabi
もつ鍋(もつなべ 、motsunabe)- offal (usually beef or pork intestine) hotpot
チゲ鍋(ちげなべ 、chigenabe)- spicy Korean-style hotpot

Also,
'green soybeans' - also known in the West by their Japanese name edamame
(Note: I would hope all here know it is *not* pronounced 'eh-dah-mah-mii'... No )

Hope that helps! Love

Oh wonderful!!
I thank both Ha-Ha-Haru! and zyzzyva for the translation of Ai's updated profile! Boogie (I didn't catch it at all..)

Oh come now, Haru! Your translation is way way way much more than anyone ever expected of--well--anyone. I'm very sure you do a more superior job than I can ever hope to do since my translations are far from adroit. I struggle too much. Tongue Nod
It'd be awesome if you joined our unofficial translating team (as there seem to be few who can translate, with a lot of translating to be done), of course, only if you're interested in helping us decipher Japanese. Embarassed

Thanks again, you two! I shall proceed to update the first post with proper crediting. Wink

btw, zyzzyva..I wholly regret never asking you for help when I got stuck. No darn, now I feel dumb.

No problem! Happy to help. Love
And don't be so hard on yourself, Celsius005! Your translations have always been wonderful -- accurate *as well as* grasping the poetic nuances! Nod

I think I'd make a better 'consultant' than 'translator'... Embarassed My grammar's not great and my range of kanji off the top of my head is atrocious. Laughing
But I can definitely help with cultural/colloquial items and, like I said above, food! Giggle
As for those things I might not know, I'm a good researcher if need be.

That's awesome! I didn't know that Ai-chin like RIP SLYME; they're probably my favourite J-Rap artists out there! I actually have a lot more similiarities with Ai-chin then I thought. We share a bunch of random likes, dislikes, and skills.

Thanks for the translation Ha-Ha-Haru!
