Since we were talking about this in the other thread, I figure since some of you thought it was a good idea, I could start a thread about this.
My idea is that we all contribute a little something (say, a letter, photos, or anything you made for her) and then we send it off to her at her fan mail address! We could have a collective letter written by someone proficient in Japanese too. It would be a great way to get her to actually find out about this website, too, besides sending us our love!
Do you guys think this is feasible? |

wow, this idea sounds so great!!
it would be really cool, if Ai knew about channel-ai and about all members who love her and her music
and if someone could write a letter in japanese, she could understand what we want to say to her...that's like a dream
although it won't be easy to think of something you want to show her...at least I think so
so, I think this could be feasible, why not? ^^
let's hope it works out |

nnn.... i could say that this is a nice idea, though i don't know if it possible or not.
but first we have to hide the download thread. if avex know this, maybe the download thread will be wipe out
actually i really want to send her a letter, but don't know how to do it (duh, i live in e-mail age).
i encourage you guys to do it |

| Yeah, the download thread might make them mad, lol. Or else they might not know English at all and not get it... But sending her a letter would seem cool, too! But the post office here is like a fifteen minute+ drive (and I don't really know how to get there, lol). But anyways, you could send her a e-mail too, I guess even though I think it'll probably be higher chance she actually reads through and notes a real letter. |

What I had in mind was that we collate everything we wanted to online (fast and FREE!), then get someone hopefully in Japan to send it off, to help offset the cost a little. We could like make her a card, which is totally possible with so many aspiring artists here! If we can make it a large and visible parcel, I'm sure she will notice it! |

| scanners and digital cameras....image hosting sites...and plain e-mail. as i read this i thought it would make more sense to make everything online first too. unfortunately the poor soul who sends out the letter would need to put it all together, maybe even have to translate stuff and print things. well i'm sure someone loves ai enough to do this right? |

I think this is a pretty cool idea. My only suggestion is that Channel-Ai not be associated with the final project. There are too many ways it could backfire on us. I doubt Avex would be too flattered with all of the material we have available for download here. |

| but isn't it sort of the point of this letter in the first place to let ai know this project is from channel-ai? |

Mansley wrote: but isn't it sort of the point of this letter in the first place to let ai know this project is from channel-ai? I think we could let her know that it's from a group of fans, but sent from one address. Maybe even pick a fan's website to say it's from. I just don't think that associating it with Channel-Ai, and therefore letting her record company know that this website exists, is a good idea.
Think about all of the downloads that are available here. Do you really want Avex to come in and shut Channel-Ai down or slap lawsuits on people for copyright infringement because of them?
I'm all for sending a letter to Ai from her international fans, I've wanted to send her a fan letter myself for years, but I'd hate to see Channel-Ai fall because of it. |

| Maybe create some fan organization, club, okay? with separate web presence and location. Then send physical or electronic compiled material, ask for affiliation with Official Otsuka Fan Club if there is such, I am certain there is, probably that "LOVE9CUBE" or similar. |

Hmmm, that's a good point you brought up, madgirlslovesong. I guess what we can do is make us up to be some sort of fan club, with a name different from Channel-Ai. We don't really have to seek affiliation, we can be one of those unknown, poor little fan clubs . As for the problem raised by Mansley, we could assign different jobs to everyone, so maybe the final compiler doesn't have to do much other than printing and sending? |

Hmm suggestions you say? Maybe we can make up names. Trust me, I'm not very good at making group names but here's what randomly came in my head.
Ai-Fans
The Musk-Ai-Teers
Ai's Group of Fans ( Couldn't this be any simpler?)
Ai Worldw-Ai-de
I might think for some more names. Or you can stop me for my terrible naming. |

I also think that a new group would be better, because of all the donwloads we have here
and the thing with different jobs for everyonbe is a good idea, too ^.^
@ carlito:
I think that Ai Worldw-Ai-de is pretty cool
we could all think of more names (although I'm very uncreative with such names...: oops:) |
