  • How was 2006 for you?: The best, this is the year I've joined Channel-Ai, met Ai and made great success in school!
  • Which year would you compare 2006 to?: None. This is probably the best year of my life so far!
  • What was your greatest memory in 2006?: Winning 2 academic awards. One for English and one for Science!
  • What was your worst memory in 2006?: I can't refine any, this year was just too great!
  • Were they any heartbreaking moments in 2006?: When Steve Irwin died, that was something to think about. Crying
  • What memory would be your most missed?: I'll miss all my memories
  • What did you get for your birthday this year?: A skateboard. I got interested in Tony Hawk then. Giggle

  • Is Channel-Ai a part of your daily life?: Yes, as you can see it kinda is. I love talking to you guys! Boogie

  • Do you ever go outside or stay inside all the time?: Not all the time. I only really go out if my friends are.

* Your name is?: Ansley, nice to meet you.
* When is your birthdate?: December 24th 1986. Otherwise known as Christmas Eve.
* Do you have any special talent?: Well I can sit in front of my computer for inhumanly long periods of time being a bum and listening to J-Pop. I mean I like to draw sometimes.
* When/Why/How did you join Channel-Ai?: I think it was mid-November. I joined because I've already had a good experience at another artist's J-Pop forum and I was rapidly gaining interest in Ai-chin, so i figure i would be even happier as a member of two forums! So I am here now, and I am very happy here.
* Do you like or dislike anything?: Younha is my goddess. Ai is amazing too. Erika Sawajiri is my favorite actress, her dramas are just wow. Oh this was not asking about people. I have a soft spot for small furry animals. I like gaming and music, they make an awesome combo, especially when listening to slow love ballads and firing automatic weapons at people on a computer screen. i hate cigarettes. don't smoke near me if you want to live. i mean dont smoke if you want to live. period. i hate rap music, although i think it is proper for me not to be disrespectful of rap music so rap lovers should not be disrespectful of j-pop, this seems only fair. i hate school and studying. pretty much i am too lazy to really do well and i am in a very competitive school. so i just do average. ugh i miss being smarter than most people in my school like high school. but this is the only way for me to grow up.
* What's your favourite quote/catchphrase?: I don't really have one.
* What's your favourite hobby?: computer gaming. it is a bad habit and i am thankful i am losing interest in it. i went game free yesterday and haven't gamed much today and don't feel much like it now.
* Do you have any nicknames?: Mansley is the only nickname i like. people sometimes call me Ansel or Ashley or Ainsley or other disrespectful failed attempts at pronouncing my name properly.
* What makes you similar to Ai?: being Asian and having a given name beginning with the letter A, otherwise nothing I can think of.

* What can you say about yourself?: Second year college student. probably international area economics major with minor in accounting. i want to be an accountant someday i think.

All about Ai Otsuka

* What was the very first Ai song you've ever heard?: planetarium. lovely song and beautiful video. starry night background is really pretty too.
* What is your favourite Ai song?: i can't decide between planetarium and cherish but for now i think cherish makes my ears happiest.
* What is your favourite Ai album?: can't go wrong with LOVE COOK...planetarium, cherish, and neko ni fuusen are my three favorites.
* What was your first reaction after listening to your first Ai song?: that was quite a beautiful song.
* Which Ai song do you think is the worst?: i don't know. i don't really like happy days.
* Have you ever seen peach flowerpetals?: on a peach, yes. i like eating peaches.
* Do you like cherries?: yes, most fruits are quite tasty. cherries go nice in pies but even plain i love a good juicy pair.
* Are you a spoilt child?: i am American, so probably yes, in comparison to most others. i do feel like i get a nice lifestyle since i now talk to non-americans on MSN and hear about their 33k internet connections etc.
* Which is more memorable, Ai's Happy Days song or the old classic hit Happy Days?: i do not know the old happy days. i will stick with ai's. can't go wrong with ai.
* Can you ever imagine goldfish fireworks?: no. blowing up those poor fishies...how cruel! oh you mean fireworks shaped like goldfish, not fireworks in goldfish. no it is hard to imagine without having seen them.
* Does Daisuki da yo ever make you cry?: the song no. the video can almost do it i think. it's hard to watch another human cry, especially one so cute as ai-chin.
* Can you imagine what Ai's favourite food tastes like? (Kuroge Wagyuu Joshio Tanyaki): seafood i presume.
* Do you ever say SMILY instead of smilies/emoticons?: no but i should. just like i want to use crapshoot in my regular vocabulary.
* Can you ever imagine cats flying on balloons?: not really. i would be so worried about the poor kitty...it would be scared silly flying up like that.
* Ever think of the song Planetarium when you look at the night sky?: often. when i am out late and the song plays sometimes i just look up at the night sky and listen peacefully, it is probably one of the most relaxing ai experiences i could ever have. too bad around here the stars don't really come out. planetarium makes me miss them that much more.
* Who would win? Friengers or Power Rangers?: friengers. they have ai's blessing and the power rangers are way too old.
* Do you ever the dream anteater will come to eat up your dreams one day?: i do not know if that would freak me out or make me feel happy...probably freak me out so i hope not. besides if an anteater ate my dreams then i couldn't dream about him eating my dreams.
* Do you love taking photographs?: not especially. though i busted out my digital camera so i can do it more often now if i please.
* Do you ever randomly sing the Pon Pon song when you are so bored?: no. honestly that is one of my lesser liked ai songs.
* Do you have a PRETTY VOICE?: AHAHAHA. HAHAHAHA. i mean no. testing out for the karaoke contest this year, i am certain my voice is terrible. probably won't enter unless i sound way better next time i have time to make some test runs.
* Do you wake up 5 : 09am just to listen to the song?: god. no. maybe i might stay up that late on weekends but i do not think about listening to that song at such a time. i dont really like that song much anyway.
* Do you have a collection of Biidama (marbles)?: not that i can think of.

* What is your favourite food?: i like chinese food. dim sum in particular, even though it is very greasy. when done right it is such a great taste.
* What's one food you hate so much it should go away?: probably eggplant.
* What's the most disgusting/daring thing you've actually eaten?: probably that mess of salad dressings, drinks, and ice cream that my dorm mates made last year. it wasn't so bad though. i don't mind eating dare foods if it is all made from edible foods.
* What's your favourite drink?: probably tea is good. in the dining halls making a mix of cranberry juice, lemonade, and water is really awesome too. (in the right proportions)
* Are you a junk food king/queen?: not really. my family is pretty impressed that i am not keeping up with the junk food they sent down with me. i am impressed at this too, i should eat more of it.
* Are you sugar high?: nope. don't remember a moment when this happened.
* Did you ever think Ai's favourite food was a grilled cow tongue?: nope.
* Do you eat any raw foods?: on sushi, raw fish. it is so awesome.
* Can you cook?: short answer no. long answer a little bit. i suck and would rather stick to frozen foods with instructions on the box, using a rice cooker, and anything i can make with boiled water.
* Any suggestions for the people who can't grow bigger or taller?: i'm sorry, this is mostly hereditary. you can try eating a ton but i think you'll just wind up getting fat.
* Any favourite restaurants?: not in particular. a good chinese restaurant will usually do good enough.
* What's your daily basis of food?: whatever crap the dorm serves up. i try to have a salad at least once a day. doesn't do much unless the salad includes the dark green or purple leaves in my opinion.
* How much do you eat?: more than most people. i am eating less this year than last but in the dining halls my tray usually has about three empty plates and two empty glasses before i am done.
* Is there any food that you are allergic to?: not that i know of. if i say eggplant and people stop feeding it to me then i will say eggplant. but honestly no.
* Do you love eating or hate eating?: probably hate. sure i love the tastes and everything but i wish it wouldn't decide life and death. sometimes it is really inconvenient to have to go fetch a meal instead of just doing whatever else.
* What do you like more? Food or drinks?: probably drinks. they can get sugar heavy but i love having a nice drink of most sorts. soda, juice, tea, milk, plain water...i love them all. (i do not drink coffee or alcohol much, so those are not included)
