Recently I watched a video of a presentation on Spore by the makers of The Sims and SimCity. It is by far one of the most exciting developments in the computer games industry right now. Basically it's a game of evolution - you create a microbe, help it survive and then it will evolve into a tiny water-bound creature. Evolve some more and it will evolve - perhaps you want a land creature now? Evolve again, and the creature will develop intelligence (like humans!) But this game is not just about controlling your own created creature (it's not digimon!). Once your creature develops intelligence, you control a tribe of them, and the gameplay shifts to that of a RTS like Warcraft. The objective is now to conquer the whole world with your own tribe. After conquering your world, you will then get to explore space and conquer other worlds!

It will simply astound you. There are so many things about it that you simply can't describe in words. And of course, once you see the photo, it's entirely possible to create the LOVE bunny as a creature. =) |
