It is an unexpected news for me...
I think that Ai will release an album in early 2007...
I'm a bit disappointed because my guess is wrong.

Thank you for the news Rinoa. I'm glad that she'll release a new single. Hopefully her album and concert tour schedule'll be released soon as well.
The title of her song's cute. Like mangomalte said, I also think that CHU-LIP means Kiss Lip. It's the tiltle Ai chan would do. If we already has Frienger, it's just normal to have CHU-LIP.  |

Haha. CHU-LIP could very well be a cross between Kiss and Tulip. Cute!
I'm glad she's releasing a new single, but sad that it's so far away!

I also think that CHU-LIP is a cute title...and I also thought about this word play with kiss-lip...but tulip could be the flower, too... 
when I hear the title I image a cute and happy song...maybe like "amai kimochi maru kajiri" or "strawberry jam"..maybe not too up-beat...that's what I imagine 
well...I'm definately looking forward to it |

Thanks for the news. I'm excited for this new single, honestly I don't think she was ready for an album since her past 3 singles didn't exactly do amazing like "Planetarium." Doesn't she usually have a hit single before she release an album in order for the album to do really good? I'm thinking so.
It says it will be a medium tempo song, i wonder what that is. |

Yes, like others have already mentioned, the title does seem to be 'tulip' with an inserted kiss (chu being the Japanese onomatopoeia or phonomime for a kiss -- Wikipedia also has a brief, but informative article explaining Japanese Sound Symbolism [something any anime or manga fan should already be remotely familiar with...] ).
Mid-tempo would make sense, after the cheerful/fast Frienger, rockish Yumekui, and simple (not simplistic) ballad Renai Shashin... I hope it is like Amai Kimochi Maru Kajiri, like Yunchen suggested, because that is one of my all-time favorites of Ai's, despite it being a b-side...

EDIT:
Obviously, this means her next album won't come out in February...
But does this also mean one (or both) of the movie songs won't be included on the album when it finally does come out...? |
