Im not skinny either . Thing is... u dont have to debate on whether ur skinny or curvy..trying to decide which is better....cuz sometimes being skinny is ok...but u dont want to be too skinny, and same goes with curvy...u dont want to be overweight and be like "oh in just curvy, cuz then, U will become un healthy....either way. All u have to do is find a happy medium. Be what u want to be. If u are comfortable with who u are, then thats really all that counts. It is someones personality that makes them beautiful. Someone could be completely gorgeous, yet have an ugly personality. What Im saying is...if U want to be a little thinner, go ahead, just as long as u dont lose too much weight and dont lose it the unhealthy way. If ur happy with how u look right now, then stay the way u are and ur confidence will come through. |

Japanese have different standards for weight that the Western world. Its like....half of whatever ours is pretty much. Plus they are really really big on aesthetics, so if you are not skinny you get picked on in public. So its like...national bullying to be skinny almost. I like myself, so I think that that is what matters the most. I got a butt and larger than an A-cup breasts which standard Japanese girls do NOT have. I'm part black can't help it if I got a booty, ya know?
Beyonce has sooo gotten skinny since her debut days. I was in shock when I say "then" and "now" pictures. Its like...a good 30+ pounds. |

I think people should just love them for who they are because that's the way you are! The most important thing is having self-esteem and confidence. Of course I definitely say NO to over-eating and those who starve themselves to become thin. It's like why are you torturing yourself? there's so much more in life. LOVE YOURSELF!!
Different countries have different sizes for people..and you cant compare yourself to Asians if you are non-Asian. And stil the key is being healthy!
I weigh about 52kg when i was 17 now i'm 19 and i weigh about 44kg(i'm 5'4")..and alll my friends and family are like so shock! They think i don't eat enough or they think I'm doing drugs but i'm not! I LOVE TO EAT! i eat heathily! I don't know why i lost so much weight but i'm healthy! so let's all be HEALTHY! |

I agree with MeruMeruChan that different countries have different standards in terms of beauty and one should love him/herself the way they are. I am shorter than the Petronas Twin Tower (tallest building in my country or even the world some time ago) and lighter than an elephant, haha. |

its hard to choose. they both have their pros and cons.
but when it boils down to a girl with hips or no hips, i'll take the one with the better face. |

I think it depends on your body type. For instance, if someone who is about 4'9 puts on a lot of weight, it's more noticeable. A 4'9 person can weigh 130 and still look heavier than a taller person who weighs 150 or something. And then there is muscle, which weighs more than fat, and also water weight, which if you lose, it just makes you look less bloated. And also, it's about how you carry it. Some people carry extra weight in their stomachs while others carry legs, etc. So I don't think "pounds" really matters so much. You can easily not look the "exact" pounds that the scale shows, that's why...
If I were a guy, I think I'd be more attracted to a confident woman than an insecure one who is always dieting and worrying about weight. If your girlfriend or boyfriend is really worth it, most likely they wouldn't really care about your weight anyway. It's better to be healthy--both mentally and physically--than starving, psychologically distressed, or maybe suffering from high blood pressure or something else.
Not to sound a bit shallow but, as far as dating and stuff... I think with a good heart and personality, they could make an amazing friend. But sometimes good heart and personality don't work for relationships deeper than friends. Most people to carry a long one have to have "chemistry" and you won't have chemistry with someone who you think of as your older brother (at least I hope not). So, I think you choose whoever you're attracted to. You don't have to have super fantastic expectations, but at least someone who appeals to you. Someone who appeals to you and has great personality is the best! |
